Ohana reservation

My inlaws have decided that they will no longer be joining us on our Disney Vacation Club stay. They notified me to late to make any changes to our trip booked with points. So we will have a nice 2 bedroom for the 4 of us in May and I am sure we will love having the extra space.

The only problem we are having is our Ohana reservation. We have a dinner reservation for Ohana for 6 people. I have rebooked all other adr's to include only 4 people instead of 6, but there is no availabilty for 4 people at Ohana's. Will it be a problem to just arrive at dinner with only the 4 of us and explain to them that 2 cancelled on us?

You'll be fine. People cancel all the time.

Showing up with fewer people is much better than showing up with extra people. Although you may still have to wait a bit longer if you are changing table size, maybe not.

You will not have any problem showing up with 2 fewer people. I wouldn't have even changed your other ADR's but that's fine too.

It's when you show up with MORE people that problems can occur...

Having 2 FEWER is no problem! Have 2 MORE, now THAT would be a problem. Keep it! I was able to SNAG an ADR for Lecellier in 2009 off the DISBOARDS here from a lady who changed her mind. The original ADR was for 7, we had 5. She also had a dietary restriction attached to the ADR. WHen we got there we were fine with just us 5.

When are you going?

I've been trying to get a dinner ressie for 2 people in May, but was told that we'd have better luck if we were a larger party (which we aren't!)

We can replace them if need be (we're fellow Canadians)!
