We have PS for both places for the same night, now we have to choose witch one to keep. What are the feelings of people that have eaten at both restaurants? We are leaning toward 'Ohana since we are staying at the Contemporary.

hmmmmmm thats a toughie. id probably say ohana's. whispering canyon has a fantastic breakfast, much better than dinner, so eat there one morning.

Both are wonderful, but Whispering Canyon also offers lunch. You could do Ohana for dinner and try to work in lunch at WC if there is time. This is what we did recently on a very rainy day when our outdoor plans were ruined. We explored the Wilderness Lodge and ate at Whispering Canyon for lunch. Lots of the same food for a few dollars less. There is also a nice menu for anyone who doesn't want the "all you can eat" skillet. Ohana will provide "alternative" menu selections for fussy eaters but not a whole menu like WC. My dh (the fussy eater) ordered a giant hamburger and WC and was happy.

Have fun!

O'Hana is a character meal - Whispering Canyon doesn't have characters but the waitstaff are a bunch of characters:) I agree with Colleen about doing lunch at Whispering Canyon and dinner at O'Hanas. Both are good, not a bit alike though - depends on what you want.

'Ohana. But you can certainly work in a lunch at WCC. It'd also be a nice lunch break during a day at MK, just take the boat over. Lunch is less expensive than dinner, too.

Note: 'Ohana breakfast is a character meal. Dinner is not.

DH and I had dinner at Ohanas in December. It was really nice, the service was great, you get tons of food, and if your there to see the fireworks, the view is phenominal!!!

Im bias though, id live at the Poly if I could!!

Oops, you're right. We had breakfast and dinner there last year and I got mixed up - sorry 'bout that.

What time in the evening are your ressies?
O'hana is a wonderful place to be when the MK fireworks are going on.
They dim the lights and pipe in the music.
If your there @ the right time, ask for a window table.
It will be worth it!!!!

Have a great time!

We did both on our trip. We liked both! The main difference is what kind of food do you like...if you want ribs/chicken/beans/pork chops, head on over to the Whispering Canyon. There is a boat launch at the CR that makes for a fun little ride. If you are in the mood for more Asian influenced food, with the possibility of seeing the fireworks, zip over on the monorail to the Poly. We really liked both a lot, although I liked Ohana a bit better. But my parents liked Whispering Canyon so much they went back again with our kids while DH and I went on a date. Whispering Canyon is not at all quiet though- it might be fun for your triplets depending on their age---our son LOVED the pony races!! Loved them! More than the hula hoop at the Poly. The servers at the Whispering Canyon are smart-alecks---we loved it although some people can't stand it. And the Wilderness Lodge is breath-taking- a real experience unto itself. I think either way you will have a memorable meal. At the Whispering Canyon, most of our party had the all you can eat skillet, which had chicken, ribs, beef stew, potatoes, beans, green salad, corn & sausage. It also came with some great biscuits and cornbread. Very yummy..my mom opted for the pork chops and it was TWO HUGE chops, with mashed potatoes & corn and a salad. Have FUN!!!!

Something I forgot-----Whispering Canyon had this cool table set up with Lincoln Logs for the kids to play with while waiting for your table. I also took our two boys over there to play while we were waiting for our food. A nice touch.

Another vote for 'Ohana for dinner. Try WCC for breakfast. They do that much better than they do dinner, IMO.

We will definately return to Ohanas for dinner. We prefer it over WCC. We were not thrilled with our dinner there -- but the Lincoln Logs were a nice touch. We brought some to our table after DS3 finished eating. They kept him occupied until we were ready to go.

We have eaten dinner at WCC a few times and breakfast there once. We have never had a bad meal there and enjoy the activity and antics. The skillet is IMO a DEAL for breakfast and for dinner. Also they have bottomless shakes that are awesome.

We have eaten at 'Ohana for dinner only once, and enjoyed it very much, but I would prefer WCC, only by a slight edge (the skillet was very good).

We love Ohana's also. My daughter must eat here each trip because she just goes ga-ga over the coconut snowball dessert! Both son and daughter like the coconut rolling races, too. DH just plain loves the meat!!!!!

Another vote for 'Ohana's....:D
