Help!! I am taking my Best Friend to WDW for the first time and we have adr's for Ohanas but I have been hearing Kona is better?? I have not been to Ohana in years and never been to Kona. I am a frequent WDW visitor but I have my favs so this is for him...any suggestions? We are on the DDP so it doesnt matter about cost! He likes just about anything!

My vote is for Kona hands down. While I love the salad and dessert at O'Hana, Kona's food was far superior in my opinion to that of O'Hana. We eat at Kona for Breakfast and supper each visit to WDW. We LOVE it!! HTH!! Amanda

KONA!!! This restaurant is 10 times better than O'hana's....Kona is by far one of the best meals I have had at Disney.

Kona! No comparison between the two. We were there again last week and the servings are nice, the selection has flair. Excellent main dishes and delicious sides to accompany them verse a lot of meat and a few OK sides.

Another vote for Kona. Just went last week for the first time and it's definitely on my list for our next trip. :thumbsup2

:cool1: I am so happy I made ADR for Kona in august.....I had heard so much about O'hanas and tried to get ADR, but couldn't and the CM on dining resv. told me to try Kona and so I made the ADR for there...can't wait to go!!:woohoo:

We loved O hanas when we went last year! This year we are going back and also trying Kona, because I have heard so many great things about it here on the boards!!! Can't wait!!!

We love Ohana!! But I have heard such great thing about Kona that we are doing both when we go in September - I just could not choose!! I know this doesn't help but I feel your pain . . .:confused3

If it's just two adults, I would choose Kona. We ate at both last week and both times with two kids under five. Ohana is louder and served "family-style" which makes it a little more casual. Kona had fewer children and had a bit more of an upscale atmosphere. The food at both was delicious, but I think Kona had an edge on presentation and overall quality. The macadamia nut butter and bread is a great starter. I had the filet, which was great. The salad and caramel/chocolate torte thing for dessert were yummy too.

I agree that it's Kona hands down. We tried Ohana for the first time last month - I thought it was fine food, but nothing really outstanding.

Kona is my vote, our whole family loved there meal there!!

Kona hands down for food. Kona is one of our favorites by far. It all depends. however what priority you put on atmosphere. Ohana's atmosphere is much nicer.

Thank you all for your help! I made an ADR for Sunday the 27th for 7:40pm. I hope it is as good as you all say!! I changed from Ohana to Kona! I will let you know!

A question re: Kona. Do you need an ADR to eat there later after returning from the parks? We are staying at Poly and were considering just going to Kona after being at the park a few days just to get a snack and something to drink. Does Kona stay busy all night long or can we get in without ADR's later in the evening?

We had a dinner reservation at 5:30 the first week of October and they were turning walk ups away....So I guess making an ADR wouldn't hurt...
