Trying to decide which one is the better option for dinner. We had been planning on Ohana but it seems that Kona is getting all the rave reviews.

Kona!! We love Kona, but it really depends on if you want a set menu (Ohana) or a table menu (Kona! Have fun!

Although they're very different, we loved both and would recommend them to anyone--it depends on what you want. 'Ohana is loud and fun with a set menu; Kona is less "busy" in the atmosphere but you've got more freedom in your food choices. That said, we found the food at both places to be nicely prepared and service was good.

The food is very good in both. Ohana is a family favorite for us. Kona is a personal favorite (though it still ranks high with DW). Our son, for whatever reason, seems to get bored here. Every time. Weird.

We booked Kona for adults and teens and scheduled DS6 a night at the Neverland Club which will be more fun for him (and us!)......... ;)

We enjoyed both very much so you can't lose. At Kona the sticky wings, medallions of filet mignon (SUPERB), and desserts were among my favorites. Everyone in my family enjoyed all of their food; however, my DD was not crazy over the atmosphere. (I thought it was fine). It was delicious and we intend to go again. HOWEVER, 'Ohana is an absolute must for us each trip. We loved the "old" menu and I did not expect the "new" menu to be nearly as good....but it definitely was. 'Ohana is a family favorite. I believe that everyone in my family of 7 except for me would say 'Ohana hands down. I say you win with either one.

I was having the same dilemma. So I booked both! ;)

Both are really good.

'Ohana is more kid friendly with the games. My kids loved doing this, and it made dinner go a little better because they were playing a little, not just sitting at the table.

Kona is great food, no games for kids. If you just want a very good meal in a great atmosphere, this is it.

We like them both, but 'Ohana we have done twice, so we have been going to Kona mostly now with the selection of different food.

Good luck in your choice. :teeth:

Hmm..... tough choice....

'Ohana is more of an "experience" - the set menu - watching the fire pit... having the meat come to your table - coconut races etc. It is all you can eat, so the food will keep coming and coming.

Kona is a superb meal. You can choose from the menu what you would like to eat. The service is more personal. In my opinion, the food was the best we have had at any resort.

If I went my my kids, I would chose 'Ohana for the fun. If it was just me and my DH (like it was last week) I would pick Kona again and again and again.

Having recently done both, I would recommend Kona Cafe. It is my FAVORITE of all the TS restaurants. 'Ohana's was fun... but Kona Cafe was just a wonderful dining experience.

I've never been to Kona, but I have been to Ohana's on both trips in the last 2 years. It is a great restaurant, non-stop food. And if you plan it so that you are there during the Wishes fireworks, they dim the lights and the narration from the park will be played through speakers in the restaurant. The view is great.
