I went to the dinning section to check out all the places I have ADR'S for our trip. I was surprized that O'hanas was not given a better review than it was. Should I rethink my choice?:confused3 This will be our last night in the world and I wanted somethng nice for my DGD and DH. We have been to crystal palace, so I didn't want there. Can anyone give me thier opinion on O'hanas?popcorn::

We ate there December '06. It was the best dinner of our trip! We had cousin Michael and were seated at the window. He was extremely attentive. Our food was wonderful! We would definitely go back to Ohana's again. I wouldn't cancel .:)

We love O'hana. We have been 3 times and are going twice on this upcoming trip too. Don't go by just whan you read. Remember people will mostly post their complaints!

Ohana's is my favorite! They only have characters at breakfast though, but the food at dinner is to die for!

YAY! I, too, am was planning an Ohana meal...but then I read all of the bad reviews and wasn't sure. It's good to hear some good things. Now I don't think that I will have to change my mind! :thumbsup2

The review I got was from the main DIS board. Not from anyone posting here. That is why I was maybe considering eating somewhere else. But, Thanks for the replies. I think I will just go and find out for myself.:cool1: Thank's again:love:

If you & your family are big "meat eaters", you will love it. My DH really likes O'Hana, but I try to go somewhere else. I'm not a big fan of all you can eat meat & the smell of bananas makes me sick (the dessert is banana something).
I will say that if you can work out the timing of the fireworks, the view is spectacular

We went to O'hana to celebrate my dd's 13th birthday. I was nervous because I had read so many negative reviews too. But the food was good. Our favorites were the turkey, the potatoes and the desert. Our server (Edwardo) on the other hand was not so great and I didn't really care for how quickly they bring the food out. But we didn't let either one of those things ruin our time and we liked it so much that we have another ADR for our trip next month.

I've learned not to take the reviews as gospel. Everyone is different in their likes and dislikes.

'OHANA, think Hawaii, NOT Ireland!

I am always confused when I read a bad post about Ohana. We go there every trip at least 2-3 times and LOVE IT! It's tied with one or two others as our favorite, and for us its an absolute must do.

Service can be fast, so I recommend you tell your cousin that you that you will let them know when you are ready for the next course. This really helps.

As for people who say they never saw their servers come back, well I can't imagine not just grabbing any sever in sight to help. You really have more than one server. There are two or three servers that will be bringing the various different foods. We have always found the service to be very good and dispite what others have said, the food to be very good. In fact their salad dressing, chicken wings, grilled turkey, and dessert cannot be beat!

I know some people do not like the Ohana singer, some are better than others. But the entertainment is geared for the kiddies and as you will see, the children ALWAYS have a great time.

Remember what they say about opinions.

There is a reason this is one of the most popular places at WDW, always booked and difficult to get an ADR. Try it for yourself and let us all know what you think. :thumbsup2 I think you will be reporting very good things.

I agree! Hands down our favorite place. Food was tasty, atmosphere was great, fun time and good grub! Also I have one child with SEVERE food allergies, they REALLY accomodated him above and beyond! :)

Totally go!

This is my family's favorite restaurant, hands down!! I can't say enough about it. We have eaten in every single sit down their is in Disney and this is our number one choice. It suits everyone (in our family). I hope you give it a chance. :earsboy: :earsboy:

i hope its good we have adr the on the 18 of sept our last night of our hols would hate to end bad !

Last July, I nearly cancelled our ADR for 'Ohana because of the negative reviews I'd read about it. I decided to stick it out, and I'm so glad I did because it was one of DH's favorite places. I am not a big meat eater at all, and I do not like bananas, but I loved the food here, including the dessert which does not have much banana flavor at all.

My advice: try it once. Then you can form your own opinion.

I can't quite tell from your question and I'm surprised no one else asked but are you talking about 'Ohana's for breakfast or for dinner?

From 11 TS meals at Disney last May, 'Ohana was our favourite. Great atmosphere and wonderful food, far to much food but hey ho! :)

You won't be disappointed.

We mostly enjoyed Ohana - had a few complaints, but would eat there again. Actually, we thought the appetizers were the best part of the meal. The chicken wings were delicious and I always like peel-n-eat shrimp. By the time the skewers came around, we were pretty much stuffed. Some of the meats were better than others. Our complaints revolved around our table and the proximity to the area where the kids do the activities - being near there wasn't bad until all the parents draped themselves around our table to take pictures. We were a bit floored by how rude some people can be. We did have a good view of the fireworks - obstructed briefly by some (again)rude diners who decided to get up from their tables and stand in the way of our (and others) view. They moved when someone asked them to.
The food would bring us back, but we might opt to eat in a different area of the restaurant.

Assuming you mean you'll be eating dinner there because it "will be your last night in the world" I can't reccomend this place enough! I LOVE dinner at O'hanas solely for the fact that it's all about fun, and lots of it! The atmosphere is inviting and friendly, your "cousins" make you feel at home, the food is delicious (especially if you're a real carnivore....I know I am..:rotfl: ) and there are so many activities and games that children can enjoy.

It's one of my favorite family dinner spots and I know I'm not alone in thinking that, so try it and see if you like it. Remember to always take any critique with a grain of salt as not only do opinions differ from person to person, but sometimes a critic can unintentionally have a bias. (like having a bad day, being tired, etc. etc. ) It's good that you asked for what other DISers felt about this place, but you won't know if you like it until you're there...if it's not for you then split! Head over to watch Wishes with a hot dog and a soda instead. :) It's WDW after all, you can't go far without leaving any troubles behind. Good luck, have fun, and here's hoping your vacation is beyond perfection.:cloud9:

L O V E IT!! One of our favorites now! A must do for every trip.

As with any dining experience, you may or may not love it, but I think it's worth a try!

Remember, there is a LOT of food there and just because you don't like one or two of the meats, you won't go hungry! Personally, I can do without the giant skewers of meat they bring around (some of it seemed very dry to me). Between the chicken wings and the shrimp, I'm in heaven! I don't need the other meats! (but others at our table loved the other meats)

I was hessitant to try the salad the first time, but I'm glad I did! I'm pretty picky about just using Ranch or Blue Cheese - but their dressing was superb!
