:wizard: I understand 'Ohana has changed their dinner menu. They seem to have changed the turkey to chicken, and the shrimp is on skewers and not peel and eat. Does anyone have any pictures of the 'Ohana offerings?
We're going for the first time in August.

We're going there in a few weeks. I'm disappointed about the turkey being gone. I hope the chicken is just as good.

we went last week,, they bring brocoloili and noodles to your table along with bread and then chicken wing app & pot stickers,, then they bring around skewers of chicken, steak, pork & shrimp that has to be peeled. Then a yummy bread pudding with banana foster sauce for dessert,, all 3 of us enjoyed that meal!

The shrimp has been on the skewers for at least 3 years now. here are some pics that I borrowed from the food board

Personally I won't miss the turkey. Was a bit dry for my tastes. To tell the truth we focus more on the "appetizers" and, of course, the dessert.

I'm looking forward to trying the chicken. I usually don't care for the turkey. We will be there in exactly three weeks!!!

We just ate there 2 nights ago.

The poultry offering was chicken. All meats were on skewers and you are asked how many you want and they put them on your plate. The shrimp were on skewers, but they are still peel and eat. Very good, but very messy.
The best part of the dinner was the dessert, the bread pudding was wonderful and I could have eaten the whole bowl by myself. I also liked the potstickers, but no one else at the table did (DH and two teen girls). DH loved the steak and I think ate a whole skewer by himself.:goodvibes

We ate there Thurs night and it was my hubby's fav meal of the trip. He is such a carnivore though. He really enjoyed the pork and that bread pudding was yummy! I also had a Mojito that was very tasty. We did not have an ADR either.....completely lucked out! I called about 5pm that day trying to get us in.....no luck. So the CM was telling me other places available. I told him I'd like to stay at Poly for dinner. He was checking Kona when he said, "oh wait a minute! Ohanna's just popped up for 6:30" YEAAAA!!!! I called at the perfect time, I guess. :)

We've been before and after the changes and I love both. Here are a few pictures from earlier this month. I thought that the broccoli was very tasty as well as the pot stickers. The wings are also really good. I usually fill up on appetizers before the main dish. I can only describe the bread pudding as amazing!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but the potatoes are gone too!!!! I was so disappointed to hear that when I went last year. It was one of two reasons (the other being the freakin' turkey!) I love to go to 'Ohana! The waiter said it was because of the transfat in the potatoes. And the turkey was just to switch the menu up a bit. *sigh* I am still going again this year because the rest of the menu is still so delicious! :goodvibes

OH NO!!! The potatoes are gone :scared1:. I have ressies in Aug haven't been in a couple of years.

what about the salad with the (I think) honey lime dressing? is that still there, I loved that dressing!

I'm still a bit bitter from when they got rid of the rice :lmao: so I think it is funny that they have now gotten rid of the potatoes, which replaced the rice. I'm really feeling like a Disney old-timer now.

I'm with you! Remember that great lazy susan full of yummy stuff? Now THAT was a great meal. We never really felt the love for O'hana after they got rid of the rice.

I agree...I miss the pineapple/carmel dessert too!

Amen!

The 'Ohana of 10 years ago is the one we never missed on vacation to WDW... It's just a shell of its former self now and the food quality has declined dramatically...

We are also ones that miss the "old" O'Hana .... we've been the last two years and felt the quality of the food has gone down hill.

The service the last two years has been TERRIBLE!! Two years in a row we have felt very neglected ... spent way too much time in the restaurant because the waiter(s) just wouldn't come back ... including with the bill!!

We've finally given up on O'Hana.
