Ohana Help

Personally, I think an 8:30 -8:45 reservation at Ohana is the perfect time and would never choose anything else, but that's just me. They dim the lights and pipe in the Wishes music, and do the kids activities right after. You'd never catch me in there at 6, but I digress....

If they don't have one already, you will soon see a Cancelled thread for the month you are going, where people will post the reservations that they have cancelled. My advice is to stalk it daily and look for someone who has cancelled Ohana.

For adults and older children, yes that's wonderful. But with an infant, not so much.

i don't know if this helps, but i just checked 6/1/11 for 6 people and they have a 5:00 available. they also had 5:05 available for 7 people.

try again tonight!

I was able to get a 6:25pm reservation for O'hana today!!!

However, the Disney computer system was down so I had to book it via their website. I'll just call back at a later date since our party is 3 adult and 3 children.

I appreciate everyones help with this matter!!:thumbsup2

If you got the reservation, why do you have to call back? :confused3

I'll call back to let the reservationist know that we are a party of 6: 3 adults, 2 children (7 and 5), and 1 infant. Then maybe they will have a high chair or something to set the infant carrier on.

Arrived right on time for a 5:10pm ADR... was a line just to checkin... by the time I got through that line, it was 5:30, then the person checking us in said their computer stopped working, waited 10 more minutes, then got a pager. Had to wait another HOUR to get seated.... Management didn't care... acted like they were doing us a favor since we supposedly checked in late... even though we were there on time! While trying to rush through our meal, we asked to take our dessert to go... (we were now late for the Christmas party at Magic Kingdom), our wonderful server checked with the manager/chef and we were told they don't do that.

The manager was quick to be defensive and try to blame us for being late (when we were NOT) and also quick to quote restaurant "policy".

Dined at over 50 other restaurants at WDW, never had problems like this. When we finally left Ohana, the line JUST TO CHECK IN, was about 5 times as long stretching all the way past Kona Cafe toward the monorail...

Folks, the food just isn't that good when there are so many other nicer places to eat.....

Try Flying Fish Cafe, Narcoosees, Citricos, Yak and Yeti, Coral Reef.... just to name a few....
