Ohana happenings...

What exactly goes on at Ohana at dinnertime? I know it is not a character meal, but what is the entertainment like and will a 4 and 2 year old enjoy it? We really like loud, active restaurants, like CM's, so I think this may be a good choice for us but would like some opinions.

about every 40 minutes there is a hula hoop contest and a coconut pushing (with a broom) race. It's for kids of all ages and seemed to be very enjoyable (our DD and DS are teens and "too old"). Get ready for some wonderful "kodak moments". The other great thing about Ohanas is that the food appears on your table very quickly and the kids don't have long to wait.
There's an optional dessert menu. My DD had the super size snow cone selection in a sand bucket which she then ate with a shovel--very fun.
there were no characters there, but it's an active place with the fire going, etc.

We have eaten there twice, both times with a 5:00pm PS. Both times we experienced the coconut races twice, however we have never seen the hula hoop contests.
But its a fun place for us anyway, and we love the food.

We just ate there for the first time two weeks ago and it was wonderful for the kids. They did the coconut races twice while we were there and the hoola hoop-ing once. Very loud active place.

This was just a really great place. We did Chef Mickeys which I highly recommend and some other charecter meals but this was my families favorite dining experience overall. The kids had a great time and the food was very good.

I just ate at O'Hana this past Friday night and had a great time. The food was awesome and the nine year old girl with us had a great time doing the hula hoop contest. It was one of the best meals of my trip.
