OMG the food was fantastic! I love flame grilled meats and the sauces were excellent!

good to know. We have done breakfast but are going for dinner on friday:banana::banana:

we will be going to ohana for breakfast in november, we werent able to get a reservation for a normal time for dinner while at disney. Hopefully breakfast is as good as dinner!

I have eaten character breakfast there and it was great. Love the food there. Dinner I know is good. However the hula luau thing is awful.:surfweb:

yeah! we are eating there for the first time next month.

good to hear a new positive report. i know there have been mixed reviews on these boards. we're going for the first time a few days after thanksgiving and have early evening (like 530pm) adrs so i'm hoping the complaints about the meats being overly dry won't be as much of an issue.

I have only been there for dinner. Breakfast seems to be about the same at many Disney Resorts. There is only so many ways to make a Mickey Waffle!

I enjoyed 'Ohana, but it was waaaayyyyy more meat than I'm used too! Really enjoyed the accompaniments to the meats (salads, potstickers, bread). And the dessert was great.
Some of the meat was dry, some people like it that way, not me!
The early part of the meal was quite noisy (audience participation show), but the MK fireworks started as we were having dessert, so that was quite nice!
Given that I'm not much of a red meat eater, I don't feel the need to go to 'Ohanas again.

I did go to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show in 2008, and really enjoyed both the show and the food....I didn't waste my time on the rice, but like a good girl, did eat my veggies! The salad, fresh pineapple, BREAD!, and meat were very good. The server was quite attentive to all in his section... my glass was never empty! I'm going to go to the show in 2011 (on Dining Plan, so Category 2 or 3. If I was paying out of pocket, I would not hesitate to pay for Category 1.

I also stopped at the Poly for a casual breakfast one morning, and entered the building from the beach level, so ended up getting my tonga toast from the counter service (?name?) and eating at an umbrella table outside....despite paper plate/styrofoam cup, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my surroundings, maybe more than I would have if I ate the indoors area, or even with real plates/glasses (yes, I'm a snob, lol...food just tastes diff on disposables!). I'll repeat that experience next Sep as well!....maybe I'll bring at least my teacup!
