I enjoyed 'Ohana, but it was waaaayyyyy more meat than I'm used too! Really enjoyed the accompaniments to the meats (salads, potstickers, bread). And the dessert was great.
Some of the meat was dry, some people like it that way, not me!
The early part of the meal was quite noisy (audience participation show), but the MK fireworks started as we were having dessert, so that was quite nice!
Given that I'm not much of a red meat eater, I don't feel the need to go to 'Ohanas again.
I did go to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show in 2008, and really enjoyed both the show and the food....I didn't waste my time on the rice, but like a good girl, did eat my veggies! The salad, fresh pineapple, BREAD!, and meat were very good. The server was quite attentive to all in his section... my glass was never empty! I'm going to go to the show in 2011 (on Dining Plan, so Category 2 or 3. If I was paying out of pocket, I would not hesitate to pay for Category 1.
I also stopped at the Poly for a casual breakfast one morning, and entered the building from the beach level, so ended up getting my tonga toast from the counter service (?name?) and eating at an umbrella table outside....despite paper plate/styrofoam cup, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my surroundings, maybe more than I would have if I ate the indoors area, or even with real plates/glasses (yes, I'm a snob, lol...food just tastes diff on disposables!). I'll repeat that experience next Sep as well!....maybe I'll bring at least my teacup!
