We will be at MK the day we go to Ohana - I am not planning to go back to the resort (POP) - don't think we will have time (have no idea how long it take to get from MK to Pop an then over to the Polynesian resort). If we are not able to go back to change - what attire would be accepted at Ohana?

Thanks,
Helen

No dress code - we wore shorts. It will only be a short boat ride :boat: for you from MK. The thing we most remember about Ohana's is all the meat they serve - you get tons of it!

It's Disney...all tourist wear is appropriate at almost every place! You may see some dressed differently, but definitely LOT of shorts and t-shirts. you won't feel out of place no matter what. Have fun at O'Hana. MY favorite restaurant!

agree with above posters, but dd had a Hawaii type outfit that she brought just for this occassion, even tho its not the Luau you will see Hawaiin outfits here too, but mostly, what you wear to the parks blends right in!!

:flower:

You have to wear a grass skirt and call everyone 'cuzzz'

;)

seriously, no code - casual. On the transport side, just hop on the resort line at the MK monorail station, go 3 stops and you'll be there. Have fun! :)

I agree with everyone else's comments but thought I would add and answer to IF you decide to go back to POP to change - allow over an hour. MK is the furthest park from POP and it took us about 45 minutes for just the POP to O'Hana trip on 12/30. Granted, that was Christmas season but it is still a LONG ride anytime of the year! Have a great time. We loved both POP and O'Hana!

I agree, you'll feel comfortable there in whatever you're wearing. I do have a suggestion for getting to the Poly from MK if you've got the time. Last May we took the "water launch" or "water taxi" - really I don't know what it's called  but it stops at GF first and then goes to the Poly. It was a really relaxing way to get their from MK after a kinda long day at the park. It was also beautiful on the lagoon (dusk) and peaceful. We definately plan on taking it to the GF this year for dinner at Park Fair (provided it's not raining).

I think we waited for about 10 mins. for the "taxi" to arrive and then another 15 - 20 mins to get to the Poly. It took some time for to load at each stop. I could be off about five minutes or so because I enjoyed the ride so much I didn't really pay attention to the time.

I could be wrongl, but I think the only place that has any type of dress code is Victorian and Alberts......needless to say.....we've never been there. I'm on vacation and putting a suit on and/or my wife wearing a nice dress...well.....they don't EVER get packed. I'm sure many enjoy getting all dressed up...nope, not us. T-shirts and shorts for us. :goodvibes

When I called about California Grill they said Business Casual - not sure what that means at disney world though.

Last week we were at EPCOT and had a 5:50pm PS for Ohana. It was the last day of our trip and we were exhausted and fading. At 5:20 we were finishing up our last ride on Test Track and still debating about whether we wanted to go all the way to Ohana from Epcot or did we just want to chill and eat somewhere else. Having eaten there before, we unanimously decided to go for our last dinner knowing we'd have a great time.

So we hurried to the main entrance, returned the stroller (including waiting in line for our $1DD), got on the monorail to the TTC, switched at the TTC to the Resorts monorail, and arrived at Ohana at 5:53pm!!

And so glad we went as it was a really good time. :wizard:

You'll be there in a flash from the MK, and don't worry about the dress code. Enjoy!
