Trying for ADR's every evening Nov. 12-20th and only thing available is 9:30. DH thinks that's way too late. I have one other ADR at 9:30 too --it's T-Rex which my 10 yo ds has begged to go to.

Should I go ahead w/ the 9:30 and hope I can change the time as it gets closer? We've never eaten dinner at Ohana and I wasn't going to this time, but I just found out there is a kids menu w/ items that youngest would eat.

I would hold onto the 9:30 for 'Ohana but you should be able to snag an earlier time people frequently cancel around the 45 day mark.

Also did you try calling T-Rex directly for an earlier time? If not call them directly the hold back reservations

Keep checking. I changed our 'Ohana from 6:50 to 5:20 for August, just 2-3 weeks ago. If you are 3, try for a party of 4, too. It will pop up, just check often and be patient.
If you want an earlier t-rex, just call the restaurant directly to make a reservation. They don't make everything available to Disney. If you call t-rex, you will likely have your choice of times.

Thanks for that info - I didn't realize that about T-Rex. I went ahead and booked 'Ohana at 9:30 and I'll keep checking. We are actually a party of 5 this time.

We're 5, too. Be sure to check for 6. We had to book 6 for 'Ohana and Chef Mickey' s. The computers don't like odd numbers.

I agree, keep checking. I booked a 9:50pm reservation for our upcoming September trip and a couple of weeks ago a 7:50pm opened up and I snagged it.

'Ohana is one of the most difficult reservations to get at a reasonable time so keep checking online multiple times a day to see if a cancellation shows up in the reservation system. Because it's a credit card guarantee restaurant people will cancel if their plans change. Also, like you, many people will have late reservations and as earlier ones come up, they'll cancel their current res. It may take a while, but with persistence you can usually work your way up to an earlier res.

As a group of 5 try for 5 and if that doesn't work try for 6. The Disney res system has a quirk that makes it harder for odd numbered groups to get a table. The system wants to fill every seat at a table so even though a party of 5 will often be seated at a 6 top, the system won't recognize this and will ignore a request for 5. Input 6 and "suddenly" there's a table available!

I would grab that time. I got a 9:35 for 2 and then about 2 weeks later I was able to get a 8:15. also try for different numbers in your group. It is just me and my hubby and after many unsuccessful attempts to get an earlier time I tried for 4 and got the 8:15 for 4. We go in Sept and I am still looking for an earlier time but 8:15 might work - we can go watch the fireworks at 10 from the beach
