We are doing a quick non-park visit to Orlando this weekend for 4 days. We wanted to do a couple character meals at resorts since we don't always have time to when we do a park visit. Since it was last minute, the only character b-fast I was able to book was at Ohana. I know the character action will be good and DD 3 will love any character who talks to her. But how is the food? We ate here in 2006 and I remember Mickey waffles. However, on the menu it doesn't mention waffles. Just looking for reviews. I'll keep trying for other character b-fasts in hopes of Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare, but we'll stick with Ohana's until then.

:)Thanks!

Ohana was our favorite breakfast of the week as far as quality of food. The atmosphere was nice & it was our best family picture of the week too.

This our absolute favorite breakfast anywhere!!!! Its a must do.....we love it! My family is not big on breakfast foods plus I have a couple of picky eaters and we all love it!

We love Ohana......it's one of our favorites :goodvibes. We ate there this past December and Mickey waffles were on the menu :thumbsup2.

we love ohana! we did it twice. Its one of our fave places to go. The atmosphere is beautiful. I love the fact that its a sit-down family style all you can eat restaurant. The pineapple bread & their juice are simply to die for. The characters are wonderful!!! just amazing. So much fun. Its a must do, at least once in your life. ;)

We love Ohana for breakfast. This is a must do on every trip. My DD loves stitch. The character interaction is very good. The food is served Family style(bring it in a large skillet to table) and very tasty. The skillet has eggs, bacon, sausage, and patotes wedges. They come around with mickey waffles seperate. Oh I forgot, the juice is to die for.

'Ohana is one of the better character breakfasts on property. I prefer it to nearly all of the popular character buffets, including Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare. Because the meal is served family-style, everything seems a little hotter, crispier and fresher than food sitting on a buffet line for a while.

I loved the O'hana breakfast when we went in April 2009 (and they did have Mickey waffles then). My favorite of all the foods were the potatoes. I was pregnant at the time and just couldn't get enough of them! I think the server brought them out like 3 times...and that was pretty much mostly for me, lol. The characters were so funny, and they do a conga line with the kids around the restaurant, which your dd may like!

We did the character breakfast there last month. Food was really good, they still have the Mickey waffles. We would definitely do the breakfast there again.

We loved Ohana. Food was great. Loved the Characters...We saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Stitch and Lilo.

I love Ohana breakfast, it's one of my favorites. Will be going there when I go in about 3 weeks

How long does b'fast take? We have a 7:30 ADR and will be leaving on Magical Express at 9ish. Will this give us enough time? We are staying at the Poly and can drop our bags off before we eat if we need to.

Thanks!

Ohana is my favorite character breakfast at Disney. Last July/August, we dined at Akershus, Cape May Cafe, Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fair, Hollywood & Vine, and Crystal Palace for breakfast.

Ohana was our favorite! The eggs were a little better than we had at the other places. The fruit was fresh and plentiful. The rolls and juice were to-die-for-good! Stitch was so funny--a real hoot. The character interaction was great. And the atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful. It was a wonderful start to our day.

That sounds like perfect timing to me. Definitely drop your bags off first and arrive for your ADR a little early. You should be fine, if you do that.

While I did like O'hana it was my far my least favorite in the food catagory compared to others. I left still kind of hungry. the mickey waffles were a little cold, the scrambled eggs didn't taste the same as anywhere else in disney. They had a onion type taste them (WHICH I HATE ONION) blah... However I did love the juice & Bread.

and i loved the characters here. :)

Realistically you will not make it, UNLESS...
I have done this breakfast 3 times. NEVER have we been seated on or before our reservation time. Now the UNLESS.
This can happen if you show up early like 7am and explain to the host or hostess your situation. They should have no problem accomodating you and getting you in on time. But definetly let somebody know!!

What time have you dined? We always have a 7 to 8 a.m. seating, and we alway have been seated right away. I wonder if that makes a difference?

Our breakfasts typically last only an hour there.

Wow! Great comments, thanks! I won't be so concerned about it now. Just want characters for my DD and some mickey waffles and we're good to go! AWESOME!

We have had several horrible experiences here, so won't dine there again...but in terms of timing, this experience takes 2 hours for characters to come around. When you are seated (which usually takes a long time in itself), they tell you that it will take approx. 2 hours for all characters to make it to your table. I can't imagine the above poster saying her breakfasts are only 1 hour - we have always had very long meals, due to lengthy character rotations. Last time, we were there during May, so it was not peak season at all.

Add the lengthy wait to get in, plus 2 hours to see characters, and that makes this a very long character breakfast. Last time we dined (and it will be our last), we were at 2 hours and 10 mins., and we had to get the character handler to bring characters to our table. Very disorganized and people hog the characters big time over there, plus, the parade through the restaurant takes up precious time as well.

Our kids have eaten at every character meal on property multiple times, and they refuse to go back here.

I hope OP has a good experience, Tiger
