Ohana all booked up already?

I just made all my ressies for our trip in the 1st week in January and I was able to get everything we wanted except Ohana. It was fully booked every night of our trip (Jan 2-6), which seems crazy to me since we are still in the 190 day window! And we are going at a relatively slow time....Is it really all booked up or am I missing something? It is our fave restaurant and we eat there ever trip, I'd hate to miss it. Any tips on getting a cancellation?

How large is your party? Just poking around:

Breakfast - Party 4 - Available 1/3 and 1/4 (1/5 and 1/6 will be down until 6am)

I am wondering if there is a glitch with the dinners? I show availability the entire week from Christmas Day until 1/1/11. I am sure that it'll be much busier and booked then than it will be from the 2nd - 6th.

I'd just keep checking online. I bet it'll be released in the next few days.

I was coming here to check on this. Ohana shows nothing in January 2011 for dinner, I tried a bunch of permutations with different party sizes and different times. There must be an issue for dinner reservations.

I agree, but I can still see dinner for 4 available on 1/1/11, and there are still some breakfasts available. (though I would be surprised if they're all out there, because all that was offered were pretty late times)

I had the same problem this morning. 1/1/11 has availability, but nothing beyond that.

I'm hoping that it is just a glitch in the system that is fixed soon.

Have you found that there's some other weird stuff going on with the online system? When I was messing around this morning after trying to make the 'Ohana ADR, I noticed that Flying Fish had no availability for many days, either. Weird...

For the past week or so there seem to be random restaurants that have no availability for a few days, and then suddenly they'll have tons of availability. So yes, I think the system is just glitchy and it's catch as catch can for reservations right now.

First of all, I gotta say............. I love your use of nerdspeak!! I'm currently getting a Master's in computer science and love the use of 'permutations'!

Secondly, advice to the OP: I have a vacation in august and tried to book ohana from the time I booked the vacation until I finally got a reservation there (a span of about a month). I took the advice of the boards and kept trying and finally got a time - it's at 2130, but hey, that's still a time! Try searching for later times like this. They close at 2200, so try 2130, 2100, etc.... That's how I finally got mine and now I'm never giving it up! Good luck.

'Ohana is showing daily breakfast bookings available in January 2011 but no dinner bookings available other than January 1st 2011.

So either they are doing that afternoon/evening refurb/maintenance work and won't be open for dinner in January or there is a problem with WDW not having loaded the restaurant into the system for January yet.

We wanted to eat there this trip as well, but would have had to wait until 8:30pm to eat supper and that wouldn't work for us. We love Ohana!

'Ohana for dinner is showing as not available for dinner from Jan. 2 through todays booking date of Jan 11th.

You can get a ressie at 'Ohana for breakfast during those dates but you are not given the option of choosing it for a dinner ressie.

I mentioned in another post the other day that I am concerned that WDW may be planning to do work on 'Ohana during the afternoons/evenings but is still allowing for breakfasts. This same set up was done several years ago because I was trying then to get a ressie and could not!

I hope it is just a glitch in the system but I have made a backup ressie just in case

I don't trust the system. For a long time, I couldn't find any reservation open from sep to nov. But coupld of days ago, I found availability every day from 10/12 - 10/30, then suddenly at night time, they all disappeared.
