Oh yes, scooter rental advice requested...

My dad has always rented from Disney suggested companies, and he has had great luck. The chair is always available when he arrives, and he has never had any issues. It's one of the easiest parts of the trips. Besides, the grandchildren love it when they are exhausted. He always gives them a ride.

Sorry, but this is a very unsafe action.

Most rental scooters weigh in excess of 150 pounds and can do over four MPH. If a passenger accidentally pushes against the throttle it can run off a curb, into a wall, or into a person and cause serious injuries.

The owner's manual of all ECVs state that passengers are not allowed, and the rental contracts with both Disney and all of the off-site vendors do not allow passengers.

OP here. Thought I'd follow-up and let you know I decided to rent from Apple Scooters. Almost went with Walker. We've updated our dates a few times, but it hasn't been a problem. They gave us a 10% discount for saying I heard about them on DISboards. Also for $20 flat fee a walker (rollator) holder to try. Don't know if it will work, but if it does that will be fantastic. I will need to lift the battery packs, so got the lighter GoGo Elite. It has a Delta tiller, so she can use her fingers/hand instead of her thumb (she broke one a while back so thought it might be a problem for her). So wish us luck. Will post review when we get back.
