The count down is on and it has been a long while since we were in FL in December. I know it has been cold the last couple of days, here too. What should I expect? I am packing for all 5 kiddos and myself. Daddy can pack himself. I am expecting it to drop at night, but what about the days? How much do I pack, I do plan on laundry. It's just habit here 2-3 loads per day. Don't want to over pack, don't want to under pack. I'm pretty sure the gear is ready to go, at least in my mind it is. ANy advice would be great.

This time of year, we make sure we are prepared for anything. We have been at WDW in December when it has been in the 80's and the next year it was in the 40's. Then there was the year it rained all day most of the week. Ya never know.

We just returned tonight and last night (Friday) it was 39 degrees! We took short sleeve shirts and jackets with pants. At the beginning of the week it was hot enough for shorts however we were fine in pants.

I saw many people use blankets on the golf carts. I thought that was a great idea. Also I carry cheap rain ponchos in our backpack just in case. Didn't need them this trip but I did in August.

Okay.... I see you're coming on 12/2 and the weather can be unpredictable in December.

On 11/29 or 11/30, check the seven day forcast on this website:

Then... pack accordingly!! I do recommend a mix of clothing so you can layer, as needed. Fleece blankets & windbreakers or hoodies should be all you need if the weather is chilly. Also, stock up on those plastic rain ponchos at Wal-Mart. Disney's prices are outrageous for those. The ponchos are handy for the chilly nights, as they retain body heat.

Don't stress out! It is your vacation, you know!

Last December I packed for cool to cold weather because of the temps from the previous week. When we got there it was HOT!! We ended up having buy some additional short sleeve shirts!! So I would suggest layers! T-shirt short's, pants, sweatshirts and maybe one heavier jacket/coat. Have a great time! Regarless of the weather, Disney is soooo much fun in December with all of the lights and decorations! :goodvibes

It's vacation time but the laundry is always waiting to be done. Consider bringing your own laundry soap and several rolls of quarters to save time. Also, you might want to save a few dollars and convenience by bringing your own makings for smores. They also sell the kits at the campfire program. Ditto on the rain ponchos from walmart. If you have little ones, bring hats/mittens to combat the cold while watching the movies/ fireworks at night. I have little flashlights for my kids that have come in handy.

Gee what can I add? Probably nothing. BUT prepare for cold and hot weather.

Thanks. I was changing over the kids clothes last night and did just that, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. We ended up buying Disney ponchos last time we were there and they are still in the back of the van. My kids were wearing them the day the President came through our town. The news anchor noticed my small gang and commented on the "Mickey Squad". I guess we'll find room for everything. Just so much to do and time is ticking away. Thanks. I check the temps there every day.
