Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

I am so sorry for your loss Pat  we love our fur babies and for 16.5 years to be part of your family, it is a huge loss.

Love the Blue Sky cellar update, I cannot wait to get down there one of these days!!!!

Pat - I am just reading about shiny and I can't tell you how truly sorry I am. Max has been having issues with his diabetic control and it makes me realize that I don't have a lot of time left with him. I really empathize with your loss. I truly do! I am glad he had 16 awesome cat years!

Thanks ladies  He has left a hole of sorts but we all have some funny memories of his antics and no other cat will ever be like him, so we cherish those memories.

Mary Ellen - when it is time, all I can say is you do know. The best thing in this case was having the little bit of extra time with him. it was a hard painful decision but it was for the best for all of us.

Found some older pictures and once I have a little time I can get one up here.

Loved your last update. The pictures of all the details are just great. You always do such a wonderful job with your detail pictures!

Thanks - that means a lot coming from you  BSC was interesting and detailed. Glad I stopped in there to look around.

I can't wait to go back- hopefully fall of 2014. Late Oct.

Hi Pat,
Thank you so much for sending the map! It makes my collection a little more complete :goodvibes Now I have to get busy and stay at a few more new resorts so I can have one from them all :woohoo: My problem is we have some favorites that we keep going back to and some of them I really don't have any desire to stay in :confused3

I hope you're planning to write a trip report for your recent trip!

I remember reaching that point with my old cat Mindy. She was 16 years old when I put her to sleep. She had congestive heart failure and despite the fact that she completely filled up with fluid over 36 hours that darn cat struggled to get down the stairs to her basement liter box. She could barely breath when she got to the top of the stairs.

I hope you do post pictures of Shiny. I would love to see them.

For all those that have asked about a picture of Shiny I will oblige.
First let me introduce you to Chocolate.

We had to put him down in Nov. after a short illness. He was probably 13 or 14 That picture was towards the end. His favorite position:

Shiny - a lot younger

A lot heavier

Our second to last vet visit, It seemed like he wanted to hold my hand

Lastly Ashley, Our psycho cat

She only likes Jennifer and rarely goes near anyone else.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your cats, Pat and, again, sorry for your loss.

Love the new pictures of DL, especially King Triton's carousel.

I think I love paradise pier! It's so cool. I have never seen that many pictures of it before! Your night time pictures are great!

Shiny! What a sweet black cat. You know I have a soft spot for all black cats because Max is black. And Max holds my hand like that too.

Chocolate is gorgeous!

And the psycho black cat actually looks just like Max!

I clicked on your photobucket account and found this picture. Typical black cat looking like a blur!

Thanks Kathy. That area was neat - very different from Carsland.

Paradise Pier was a nice retro Pier themed area.

Shiny was very social. He was always around, and came running when you came home.

Chocolate was a pretty cat and had blue eyes. Very anti-social, not psycho but ultra aloof.

Ashley is part Persian I think Very fuzzy and long hair. The worst she hates me doing is brushing and getting the matted hair straight- Probably why she runs when I come near. :rotfl2:

For most of the winter he would come in and sleep like that at the top of the stairs. I would always say he was guarding. He would position himself right outside my bedroom at the top of the stairs and watch. Occasionally he would fall asleep and look like that :rotfl2:

Loved the pix of your cats !! Mine don't stand still long enough to get good pix !!Neither do the dogs !!! Great pix of Disneyland too !! Seems so different from WDW!!!! I am very busy getting caught up at work put in a LONG day and am still far behind so will be another long one tomorrow , but at least I don't have to go in at 6 a !!I leave for Vermont next Thursday !!!!

The few I have, most are a blur since they are always on the move.
I have a lot of pictures of the kids and the Shiny is there. He was always around people.

I totally get the long days. Had many of those myself. :rolleyes1 This time of year is crazy for me. I get moments of sanity.

aww, cute kitties! Again, so sorry for your loss.

California - That California Screamin is an upside down coaster, yes?

How many days did you spend at the parks when you were at DL?

We are still considering a DL trip - but now it's looking like March. No availability at VGC in October, and we had limited time off, flights were $$$, the following Monday one of my DDs and I are going on a school trip...it just wasn't looking good. I doubt March will be any easier to get, but we will try! Your pictures really make me want to go. Any idea if March is crowded for spring break times? Ours is fairly early.

CS does go upside down but it is long too. Nice long ride.

I spent Sept 27- Oct 1 at DL. I had a half day on the 27th, then 3 full days. I don't think I went in the park on the 1st, just packed up and relaxed a bit.
I got a good lay of the land of CA on the 27th, CA on the 28th with the Halloween party at night, DL on the 29th and hit both parks on the 30th to sweep favorites and what didn't get done. So easy to hop back and forth there.
I know VGC are hard to get and I do believe that the little glitch with the computers that morning 7 months before worked to my advantage. ;)
Not sure how crowds are in March or availability for VGC. My guess is similar to WDW since it is college break time and some schools too.

So sorry to hear about your kitty. He looked like a sweet little guy. I have a grey and white tabby and he puts his paw in my hand like that too.

That Paradise Pier area looks cool. I really would like to see DLR someday.

Another good set of pictures of things I have never seen and most likely never will. Bella would like King Triton's Carousel. :thumbsup2

I like the signs in the tatoo shop! :rotfl2:

Very cool that Midway Mania ends upstairs, like you're in Andy's house. :thumbsup2

Cool pictures! So what did you think of California Screamin'? I assume TSM is the same as Florida's version, but exiting through Andy's room is a really cool touch.
