Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Good Morning Pat just checking in from my 15 hour shift:crazy2::wave2::coffee:Can you tell we are short staffed !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I feel your pain Rosie. I may here at work for 15 hours today too!! :crazy2:

I have been lucky though, Friday was short 3 1/2 hours and yesterday was only a 10 hour day.

My facility is pretty well staffed but people keep wanting to take time off. :rotfl2: What good is a summer job if you are never at it? :confused3

FP for California screamin

IMG_5871.jpg

For whatever reason you can hold a FP for this AND another one in CA. I guess because it is pretty remote from the other big rides. No signs you just have to know…. Now you know.

I did not knon that!!!!!!!! really?????

Mickeys fun wheel - Not your regular fun wheel. The cars slide back and forth. Until I got used to it I was hanging on for dear life. The Mother Daughter in the car with me were laughing at me.

It's freaky! I though Eric was going to lose it.

GREAT picture!

And dinner looks really really yummy.

It's cool to see all of the new and 'familiar yet different' rides and attractions. I haven't had much DIS time in the past 2-3 weeks, so it was nice to be able to check in and make a mini-trip to CA this morning. :) (This is cold breakfast day at camp, so a parent volunteer goes up and puts out cereal, Pop-tarts, donuts, honey buns, and fruit. This gives me the morning to do errands and make my last big SAM's run. I am sneaking in some DIS time, too. ;))

My regular house that I manage is fairly good, wonderful staff!!!:goodvibesMy second job is the nightmare for staffing , they have none :sad1::sad1:Acouple of us are working LONG days as there is NO ONE else , so not only is it LONG it is solo!!:crazy2::crazy2::crazy2: Today I at least have a couple of hours free !!!:goodvibes

I'm still here Pat. Great updates, as always. So you'd recommend Carthay Circle?

Thanks for the info. on CA Screamin' fastpasses Pat! That's some good info!

the ride looks like fun, but is all that area of the world of color above water like that always? i thought everything was below water.

the meal looks good and i like the idea of hte stuff inside the biscuit sounds really good to me.

Balloon guy

That's a lot of balloons. Wow!

Love seeing the little mermaid queue. It looks so pretty inside. And Soarin sort of reminds me of an airplane hanger. Very cool.

Dinner looks really yummy and that dessert plate is pretty neat.

I am sure I have not completely caught up, but I'm not caught up on anyone's TR.

So what's next on the trip agenda? Are you heading down for July 4th?

DL and even CA are familiar yet different. There are some new sites and some slightly different queues- having them mostly be outside is a bit different. Always seem like a big line but once you are in .... you are boarding the ride.

Like I said on your TR, Seeing you and the family this past weekend was great. Despite the rain it was nice to get away.

I hope things normalize for you Rosie. I know how when you are away things get away from you and things seem to pile up. I seem to get a easier week then 2 weeks of crazy and then another easier week. :crazy2:

Hey I am still here too! :rotfl2: It has been a wild summer and I don't see it getting any easier any time soon. :faint:

I would recommend Carthay Circle. It was a nice meal. Also having the pass for preferred seating for World of Color was nice and worth it.

Now with the FP+ I am not sure if things will change with CS or not. It is sort of set apart from the rest of the park so it makes sense especially if they are now enforcing FP windows.

I am not sure if WoC s like that all the time. :confused3I would think so but maybe they either service it much like illuminations since there is fire with the show. So maybe it goes down bit or the water comes up. I guess if there is a next time I should pay more attention. :lmao:

Those biscuits were good.

The LM queue was neat and while I like WDW's version, the neat mosaics at the entrance are a really nice touch.

The soarin' queue was like an airplane hangar. I guess the line moved quickly but there were displays in there that seemed neat as the line zipped by.

Dinner was good too. It was worth it for the WoC preferred seating ( or standing area)

I was able to make it out to Nashville to visit with MeMom and crew. Despite a weather pattern that dumped lots of rain, it was nice to get away.

The next WDW trip is 101 days away in Oct. After that NYE and then depending on the point situation, one more before the AP runs out.
My conference is in Vegas ( again ) in 2014 so that may be a good time to piggy back another DL trip but if I do then probably no F & W in 2014 :(

I vow I WILL get DL pictures done before Oct. :rotfl2:

WORLD OF COLOR

Along with the Carthay Circle dinner, came preferred pass to WoC. It didn't put you up front as you will see but rather pretty centrally located. Despite all the heads it really was a primo spot ...... I am just short. :rotfl2:

Add in the depressing fact that my camera battery died about 1/2 way through the show and I don't even have many pictures that are good.

The show is amazing and very immersive. The water screens are HUGE and the water shoots up higher that the Fun wheel. There is fire ( DL loves its fire) and the combination just makes a great show.
All of the nighttime show are standing shows, no seats to really be had. I mean you can sit on the ground but when everyone else is standing, you sit and you see nothing.

There is a WoC thread that follows the seating areas and changes. There are FP available for WoC but the distribution does not seem to be such that if you go early you get the best area. I guess that makes it harder to "time" it right so the dinner package was the way to go.

I would give it :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I really want to see WOC. It really looks amazing! Nice pics!

Sorry you have to wait 100 days for your next trip. I guess I have to wait longer than that. I think I am already in withdrawal. It looks like you've got some great trips on the horizon in the next year! :thumbsup2

World of Color looks like an amazing show, and a wonderful experience!!! :woohoo: It looks like you did a great job of planning ahead and getting a really good location to view it from........... ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Too bad your battery died! Sounds like you need to have a backup so you can capture more pictures next time!

All caught up! I'm still not sure who thought cars sliding on a ferris wheel would be "fun". :rotfl:

World of Color just seems like such a cool show. Can't wait to see it someday.

WoC is so much more amazing than my pictures show. Tomorrow I am in double digits.:cool1:

Yes the planning paid off.

I do have an extra battery for the camera but left it in the luggage in the room. Now I always drop it in my bag, along with my battery pack for my phone. :thumbsup2

The sliding thing had me a bit nervous but once up there, I got settled. Now of course the ride was too short so the next time I will have to adjust all over again but I would get back on it. Just for the view.

WoC is cool. Very well done.

WOC looks amazing !!! Your pix are far better than moine would be !!1Just ask Marv , I made him feel like he was spinning !!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Just counted in 100 days I will be in Disney:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Trying to catch up a little. It was nice to start this day with World of Color and some browsing through World of Disney via your pictures.

After debating about the Mickey mugs many times, I took the plunge in March and brought back one for Jill and one for myself, so we are truly official DISers now, I guess.

Along with the Carthay Circle dinner, came preferred pass to WoC.

I didn't realize that -- it just moved way up on my list. :thumbsup2

That's not true. It's just not anything you really want to see. :rolleyes2

Thanks for taking the picture of the price tag on that robe at Downtown Disney....you know your audience. I wanted to know the price!
