Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Freaking Awesome! :rotfl2:

Holy Mega Update Pat! WOWSA!

I LOVE Toontown. I am so glad it still exists in DL. It's absolutely adorable and those are the best pictures I have seen of it yet. Now I know I really need to go there. What time of year did you go again?

Are you all geared up for your latest trip. Darn, I can't believe its been a year since we saw you. You really need to try to come in May. ;)

Toontown was cute, out of the way too. I was there last Sept, the 27th - Oct 1.

I am trying to be geared up. So much going on right now I am just hoping to dot my i's and cross my t's so I can go relax.

Can't believe it has been a year either. I would love to go in May again but that really is such a busy time, and it was so hectic for me last May. :sad1:

My first Monte Cristo sandwich was right there at the Blue Bayou back in 1989. A bunch of us from my theater class (from the local community college in Irvine, CA.) decided we should skip classes one day and go to DL, it was so much fun! :goodvibes

That sounds like a fun - and daring - memory! ;)

Pat, you did an excellent job on the ToonTown pictures. I would love to see all of that.

I have friends out there this week, and she messaged me yesterday that I needed to get on a plane and get out there now! She said her youngest walked hand in hand with Mickey down Main Street day before yesterday, and she was beside herself.

Almost every square inch I tell you. :rotfl2: You need to find a way to make the flight. It is a very special- yet different Disney.
Most everything is about the history and being the original.

Such a special memory to walk down Main Street with Mickey

I miss Toontown. I thoroughly enjoyed this mega update. Mark and I are talking more seriously about going to DL.

Loved all the fun Toontown pics, Pat! It's a great area for families to just be silly together. I know some of he FP machines at DLR don't communicate with each other, but I don't know which ones anymore. :confused3

first time i have ever seen pics of the TT there, thanks for sharing so many, looks like it is really well done.

i miss the TT in WDW but i guess it was time to update and add what they did, just to bad they could have left some of it.

although i still remember when they had the stage show in the big tents in TT, those were a alot of fun to go to...

DL would be a fun trip. Very Familiar yet different. :) I bet there are new hats to try on for Mark.

California Screamin' does not communicate with the others. At least it didn't, not sure about a year later. :confused3

Toontown is for silliness. Big enough and enough sites to keep your attention without being overwhelming.

It was one of the best days of my life, MeMom. :lovestruc
I was at that young age where I was going to school and learning to do things on my own, I think those are some of the best memories for just about anyone, you know? :goodvibes

Pat, Toon Town still looks great!! I think they've added some things since we were there last. :confused3

Glad to see Gadgets go coaster is still there, that was Tyler's first rollercoaster, and he was NOT happy about riding it!! :rotfl2: He screamed like a little girl the whole time, got off, stood on the ground with his legs kinda spread apart like he wasn't sure he'd be able to stand and said..."I NEVA! DO THAT!!....AGAIN!!" He was three at the time and had never been on anything faster than the tea cups without spinning them. We all laughed until we were about to pee ourselves!! :rotfl:

We've had some really great memories there at DL. :goodvibes

Sometimes those random spur of the moment things make a memory of a lifetime.

I only did Roger Rabbitt, gadget looked way too tiny for me. :lmao: I think mine when thye were little would have loved it well Jenny would have not sure about Chris. SOme days he was wanting to do things like that and other day no way. Depended on his mood at the time. :lmao:

My DD12 looked over my shoulder as I was viewing the Toontown pics and she said, it's just like the game! HA! I think the GAME is just like TOONTOWN, my dear! But it looks so cute!

Does Minnie greet back at the tea table?

Did Mickey STEAL that hotel towel? :scared1:
Does he greet anywhere back there?

We're back to focusing on a DL trip for Spring break. I really have to do my research. I'll be here a lot! Do you know much about dining? There's a couple places I'm interested in and want to know if I need reservations way ahead of time. Of course it's less than 5 months out now, so I hope not!

Your Toon Town update was :faint:

It looks like a really fun place to experience! Glad you took so many pictures so you could share the memories!!! :thumbsup2

Dan sorry I missed you back there. :flower3:
When that area was Mickeys Starland and then his Birthday land? and then toontown it just wasnt enough to be like DL's TT. I am sad to see the houses go but glad to see what they did.

I did Goofy's Barnstormer in WDW and still haven't recovered from the Trauma !!!:rotfl2:

Oh Rosie we need to get you on BTMRR lol Barnstormer is a bit wild due to the tight turns. Maybe when the mine train opens you will do that?

:rotfl2: Yes but to her the game came first.... :rotfl2: She will feel like she jumped in the game when she goes.

Minnie does Greet in the backyard of her house and Mickey greets in that backstage area looking at the end of his house pictures but was on a break when I went through.

I thought that too when I took it? :rotfl2:

I have heard you don't need reservations like at WDW but when I did the WoC I made one. That was the only one. From the couple of threads I have read about DL the counter service is really good. I just needed to pick better I guess.
I do know at Whitewater snacks, the breakfast sandwich is HUGE and can be shared.
No online for dining reservations and things are a little more casual out there.

Make a point of eating AT Flo's in Carsland. That was a great meal. CS too.

Oh yes I took a million pictures  I wish it was a little cooler and I look forward to possibly going back next year.::yes::

Hi Pat! Hope you are well. I have been MIA for a quite a while and trying now to get back into the swing of things. It has been so busy that I had to give up something and it turned out to be my Dis Time.

Starting with your report to get caught up on. We leave in less than 6 weeks and I will admit this is the least prepared for a Disney trip I have ever been. I am getting there but it is taking me a while.

Love all your updates! You have been a big help as I try to prepare for the adventure out west.

Good to know that you can't use FP during the Magic Morning hours. How did that work? Did you have to show them your room key to get in early?

How soon did you have to get to the package area for World of Color. We are doing the lunch package at Carthay Circle one day.

So excited to see Toontown. It looks fabulous. That was one of my favorite parts of MK and hated it when it was gone. However, I do love the new FL.

I see you have a trip coming soon. Hope you have a magical time!!! pixiedust:

As you can see I am almost MIA as well. So busy and way too many things going on.
So glad to have you back. Busy is good - we just miss our friends.

I believe they just checked your room key like they do in WDW. Yup go straight to rides , do not attempt to get a FP or you will be disappointed when you walk all the way over and then realize.
I hope RSR is up first thing. If not Do not waste time in line, do what you can and then have someone get in the FP line for RSR and ride it that way.
You can knock all of CARSLAND out that way.

You can wait since the area is reserved, but don't cut it too close, I probably went over 15-20 or when I saw the crowd get pretty thick. It is all standing room and well limited space but you get a good view in area. Try to get at the top of stairs so you can see over heads. :)

Jeremy will have a blast in there. So many fun things to look at and buttons to push. This area puts WDW TT to shame. ::yes::

I do !!!! I start my drive tomorrow afternoon. :hyper:

Have a great trip, Pat. I know you've been burning the candle on all ends. Magical times for you, Rosie and the rest of the gang.
