Yeah, I think it's just a glitch caused by how the person who did it entered it. I think you'll be okay.
 

We did have a slight issue but it wasn't too big a deal. We went to Guest Relations at the Magic Kingdom. They tried to tell me my PAP had been renewed. I explained to them that this only happened when I linked it in MDE. They called a manager and ended up cancelling the sale and reselling it to me. I then had to link it to the magic band with the app on my phone. Once that was done it all worked fine. It took a little time but turned out OK.

I had problems at the IG last Sunday. I went to the booth on the right, the cm at first said she couldn't put an AP on a MB. I said I know plenty of people who have AP's and MB's. She said she would try and it did work. So then I said, what about my AP card. She said I don't get one. I said that I thought I needed it to get discounts. She said I'd have to go over to Guest Relations, which is the booth on the left. There was a long line. So I figured I'd go into Epcot and try later. It worked for admission.

On my way out, I decided to stop at the booth on the left (Guest Relations). The guy there said they aren't supposed to put AP's on MB's. I told him I was staying at BW and was part of the test. He reluctantly gave me the AP card.

When I got back to BW, I had a text to see the front desk for my room assignment. They had to recode my magic band and KTTW for some reason. I asked if my room assignment was changed, they said no. So who knows what happened there.

After that, everything worked fine. Loved the Magic Band and FP+!
 
If I recall correctly, the cost of the new ticket and renewal were both the same under last year's promotion. I'm betting they'll be able to get it corrected for you. Just remember, if you don't get the correct answer from the first cast member you take your voucher to, there's always another window.

Just be sure you ask them up front what date the pass will expire.
