Oh No Please HELP..December?

DH just called an informed me that they finally told him when his vaca would be (gov employee and they do it very weird) anyway, we were going to be there the week of 11/27 and now it looks if we will be there the week of 12/11...will we be slammed with the xmas crowds that week or do they start the week after which is 12/18..thanks in advance, i am having a panic attack here LOL...FYI we usually go in Sept so i am used to noooooooo crowds.

I can't imagine that the parks would be bad that early in December, but I'm certainly no expert!! I would think most schools would be out starting Dec. 19 so it might get crowded on Dec. 17 but should be OK before that.

I can SO relate to the DH vacation thing! We are going through that right now. I had things all planned and booked for Oct. 14-23 but now they are telling DH he can't start his vacation until Oct. 30. GRR! Good luck!!

We went the first week of December 3 years ago and had no problems. I would think you would still be safe from 12/11-18. We also did Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (on a Thursday night) and I highly recommend it! We were at WDW one month ago and the fireworks display is NOTHING like MVMCP!!

The great thing about going around Christmas are the decorations and the Christmas music. Every time I hear "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", I wish I was back at WDW!!

Christmas is on a Sunday this year so I would guess that it will be busy starting on Friday the 23rd. We don't even have a 1/2 day that day which is unusual. I think you may have more trouble flying than anything else if you try to go home that weekend. We will be there Dec 14-28. Hope to see you there.

I think you'll be fine. That was the week we originally planned on going, but due to flight prices - we switched to the week before. From what I've heard & read on this board it doesn't start getting crazy busy until the week before Christmas through New Years.

You will be fine that week. We went last year 11-21 December and it did not start getting busy until the weekend and then the first part of the next week it was slower again. Crowds were alittle bit higher the beginning of the second week but still manageable. I'm still trying to decide when to go this year - before Christmas or after New Years. With Christmas/New Years on Sunday, I'm wondering about when the kids will go back to school. Guess I better make up my mind soon - need to get reservations.

You will be great. We went 12-4 - 12-10-05. We did the Christmas party twice during the week. Everything else was walk on. I mean if you can got DS and get in line for TOT and not have to wait 20 minutes that is great. It will seem like everyone is there, but you will ahve a great time.

We arrived last December on the 11th after getting off the Magic. It was uncrowded all week. Unfortunately, as the week went on, it got colder and colder. Have a great time.
