Oh no...Peggy got another job

Congratulations to Peg! I guess I shouldn't have procrastinating in ordering a basket for our upcoming trip. Oh well!

I also noticed the other day on Peggy's site the news about her new job. I was happy for Peggy (Congrats, Peggy!!) but sad for myself. This is twice now I planned to order a basket for her and she stopped selling them. I guess it's God way of saying no gift baskets for me! LOL

Congrats again, Peggy! You definitely deserve good things coming your way. You're always so giving and helpful to people here on the DIS, showing just how wonderful a person you are!

I am so sad. I just went to Peggy's website to check and see if she had any Halloween merchandise on it yet, and she has a note that she has been blessed with a wonderful teaching opportunity and is no longer taking any more orders.

Could you possibly go back and EDIT your TITLE to this thread just a bit?

Every time I scroll past it, the "Sad News" is so jarring to me.

Most times when a title starts with "Sad New" its a very serious situation involving a "loss" of a different type.

Even an "Oh, No!" would be more light-hearted and less anxiety-inducing than "Sad News" (especially when its NOT "sad news" but GOOD NEWS for Peggy!)

Its up to you, of corse, but a quick EDIT to the title might save a few folks from the initial "jolt".

Congratulations Peggy ... and I'm really glad that I got my order in. I thought I was crazy (some of the obsessive planning coming out) ordering more than 2 months before my trip. I'm really glad that I did.

While I am one of Peggy's biggest fans in the entire world, you can use other basket services. No, they won't be the same as Peggy's, but it's not as though she's leaving us all high and dry!!! I'm one of the lucky ones....got my Oct order in about 2 weeks ago, but I have had to 'make do' with gifts of a lifetime as well as Disney Florist when Peggy stopped doing up her boxes to be with her dd. Both of those services were fine. Granted..you couldn't customize quite as much but it was better than nothing. I found that Disney Florist actually allowed me to cusomize much more than I had thought I would be able to. Yes, they can be a bit expensive.
With Gifts of a Lifetime, I had a problem with the delivery. It wasn't made on time. A problem for a birthday gift!!! But, Jane at GoaLT made it right. She tracked down the problem personally and fixed it. I wish that you could personalize things a bit more with her. Perhaps that will change in the future.

So, good luck to Peggy!!! Maybe when she gets 'in the groove' she will find that she can make time for her side business...at least take a few orders per week. I can see it all now....getting a Peggy Box will be like getting CRT or an IllumiNations cruise.....a much desired thing at WDW.

Give these other sites a shot and see what you think.

I am so lucky that I placed my order last week. It's our Disneymoon and sometimes I feel like I spend all day on the computer and still don't do anything! I'm very thankful that I didn't procrastinate any longer!!! The basket is a suprise for my DH2B and I've been thinking about it since we decided to have our honeymoon at WDW.

I'm very happy for you - Good Luck Peggy!!! Your baskets will be missed for our future trips!!!

It would be nice to see....hopefully the baskets will be a good addition. Can't wait to see them!!!! It would be nice to have someone fill in the void. Granted, it's a big void caused by Peggy's Sweets being gone, but any help filling it up will be great!
