It's 9 degrees outside, with a windchill factor of -5 to -10, snowing like crazy, expecting 1-2 feet of snow, and our furnace just stopped working.
Pray I can get it working real fast!!! I've reset it once and it kicked out again. Going to try again in a few minutes to see if I can get it going and keep it running.
The temp has already dropped 3 degrees in the house in the last 10 minutes.

Sounds like maybe the thermocouple, if your furnance does not use spark ignition. If so, a quick trip to Home Depot will get you going again. Hope it is something simple like that.

Oh no! If you can't get it working, I hope you find a warm place to spend the night.

Oh no, Good luck with getting it going. If you cant better call Disney and see if they can get you on the next cruise out.

Oh man! I hope it will start working and keep working! You and your family stay warm!!

Keeping my fingers crossed .......

Ack! I hope you get it going and it stays going at least until Tuesday or Wednesday when you'll be able to get out there and get parts or get someone in to fix it! Bundle up and stay warm!

Oh dear!!! I hope you can get that working very soon! Good luck and stay warm!

I can vouch, it IS cold here in south Jersey right now, so I hope you get that heater fixed!

Let us know how you make out, okay?

I'm so sorry to hear you're having heating problems at the absolute worst time. My mom bought us a kerosene heater for those 'just in case' times. Do you have anything, even a fireplace to keep warm until you can get the furnace working again? Please keep us posted...sending you "warm" thoughts right now!

oh yuck!!!! Hope you get things warm again!! Let us know what happens and if you are heading out to a relative, friend or hotel!

Karen

I'm hoping you're getting it fixed...with supplies from HomeDepot since we haven't heard from you...

Keep Warm...

Yes, it's very cold! I hope that you get your heat back on soon!

The power (electric) bleeped out here for about 15 minutes. I'm hoping that we don't get any serious power outages!

:D

Hope you can get it going and keep it going long enough to get through this storm!!
Waiting for the update.....

I sure hope that you are fixing it as I type. Look forward to an update.

Are you handy. My dh is an hvac mechanic. He is stuck in philly as he does work for the zoo. But if you can't get it going and you are handy maybe he can talk you thru it or I can ask him for some tips. (can't guarantee as their phones are giving them alot of trouble right now)

I hope you were able to get it running.
I'll be watching for an update.

Our heater man is here and is working on the heater. We might have heat soon, it's down to 65 in the house, I like it around 72!

I shoveled 8 inches of snow so the heater man could get in front of our house one hour ago, there is a new inch to an inch and a half of fresh snow where I just shoveled.

More later!!! Thanks for everyone's words of support and concern, I will check my DISboard messages after the heater man leaves.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's cold in here!

YAY! Very good! :) I'm glad he was able to get to you! :) I imagine he's going to be a very busy man the next few days.
