Oh. My. Gosh!

My puppy (4 months old) was sitting on my lap and mouthing on my wrist. Something he usually doesn't do. Not hard at all. Then I notice blood on my wrist. I knew it wasn't mine and started to freak out! There was a tooth on my lap!!! Oh my goodness. I totally was worried for his health.

And to think I have 3 kids. I was kind of freaked out when dd lost her first tooth but, not like this because I knew hers was loose. *whew*

That is so funny! Generally you don't see the teeth, the pup will swallow them and they are, ahem, disposed of out the other end. Three labs and I have only ever seen one baby tooth.

I didn't either. I had to come online and do a search to see if he had some fatal disease or something.

We found (or rather, my kids found) two of our lab's baby teeth. Since the kids found it, of course, the tooth fairy had to come. She brought a small puppy bone each time.

Our pup has lost all of her baby teeth except for 2. I would bet they will need to be pulled cuz they are in there pretty solid.

I am very glad they lose their teeth, those milk teeth are sharp! And they are curved slightly backwards like a shark so they get stuck on everything. DD has several pairs of pants with lovely little holes from those puppy teeth.

I actually have a tooth dairy box for the dogs! One of my students gave it to me years ago but I have never been able to find a tooth to put in it!

I remember way back when Tara was a puppy and lost her teeth...she spit out all but one. I actually pulled one out by hand, because I noticed her making a face and kind of trying to work it out. I thought she had some food stuck in her jowls...nope, it was a tooth instead.

Well, Mickey got blood on my white shirt which I had totally forgotten about because I was so freaked out. I think the peroxide is getting it out.

Our dog spit out a bunch of hers. The first one kind of freaked me out until I realized...duh, baby teeth! It's funny how so many of us didn't think of a dog having baby teeth.
