Oh my gosh.......Opinions, please?

So I am a teacher right in the middle of the Bible Belt. I was raised quite conservately, but in dealing with all of the uneducated people I have to deal with on a daily basis, I am growing more and more liberal every day. Basically I have no problem with anybody's political opinion, as long as they have an educated view point. Does that make any sense?

Anyway, I get this email today that has been addressed to ALL FACULTY.
I'm offended by it. Let me state that I am a Christian, not a Muslim.......and I don't really identify with the Muslim religion at all---I just hate judgemental people. Here is the email.

How ironic is this??!! They don't even believe in Christ and they're getting their own Christmas stamp, but don't dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property?

So, I am debating four possible responses.

1. No response at all.

2. Forward it to my principal (who got it anyway, with a "May we please start IQ testing potential applicants?)

3. Email to the originator. "Please remove me from all future email lists."

or, the one I REALLY want to do, just so he sees my point, and the dangers of gross generalizations.

Remember the child molestation taking place by the hands of Christian leader David Koresh in Waco?

Remember the CHRISTIAN bombings of abortion clinics?

Remember the CHRISTIAN organization the KKK?

Remember the gay teen murdered at the hands of CHRISTIAN activists?

This is forwarded trash. I have received it many times.

I would just ignore it--however, if it was sent to a public school work e-mail and originated from as such...they probably violated some pretty important policies.

The only viable option is to do #3 if you do choose to respond and simply leave it that this is an unacceptable and offensive e-mail. Not to mention ingorant.

However--it really has no place in your inbox at work.

I vote for 2 & 3. This is NOT the first year for the Eid stamp and here's what I found out about Eid from a simple Google:

Since it is your job, you may not want to do that. I would email the originator and ask to be removed, and also make a complaint to the school administration.
