Oh my gosh!! It's official!!

Just got a phone call from my cousin and I mentioned that I was planning a road trip.. She's been very worried about me and asked if I would like a traveling companion.. Well - I jumped on that - she is one of the funniest people I have ever met (pee your pants funny, non-stop) - so I said, "Sure! When ya wanna leave?"

So - we're hitting the road on July 15th.. Talked about what we would like to see and do and we're going to start with Salem, MA.. We both LOVE that witchcraft stuff! Then we'll head north to Maine and just spend a day or two wherever we want until we get sick of moving around and decide we want to come home..

I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!! Now I have to get my luggage from the "new" house; get my hair cut and highlighted (been meaning to anyhow); get the oil change done on my car (and read the manual that I still haven't read); and buy a case of DEPENDS..

I need this change of scenery SOOOO bad and couldn't ask for a better traveling companion..

I want to bring my lap top though - and I'm leery of leaving it in a hotel room - so is it safe to keep it in the car in a case - or will the heat destroy it?

Come on July 15th!!!!!!!!!!

OMG C.Ann, God works in mysterious ways ! I can't believe we were just chatting earlier how much you really need a change of pace and a road trip might be just what the dr ordered!!! C.Ann, I would not leave my laptop in my car due to the intense heat we have here. I love the idea of you bringing a journal and writing it all out. Please do a trip report.

I would think it would be safe in the hotel room. You could ask the hotel staff about the safty issue.


Cousins are the best. I have a few that I can just look at and laugh all night.

If it was my junky one, I leave it in the car (and I've never had a problem..I do bring it to room temp, before using). If it's my good one, I bring it inside and put it in the safe, if available, or buy a lock for it and lock it to a desk with a Kensington lock, that should hook into the back of your computer.
