ok so i have nothing better to do today then search through tons of
youtube clips, read comments posted and read sites offered when i came across this....
whoever this guy/girl is they are "translating" tom's video for us SP's who don't get it.
so in a nut shell we're just wrong, tom is misunderstood and we should accept that he's just really really really really passionate about his cult oops i mean religion.
here's from the guys site - yup long - sorry....
borrowed from address the press . you know.
In the first part of the video Tom Cruise says that he thinks it's a privilage to be a Scientologist; That he or she has the ability to create better realities and improve conditions. The reason for this is because a Scientologist is someone who applies what he knows and has learned to improve conditions in his/her life and in the lives of others. By applying the technology of Scientology one is able to improve conditions in his life.
He says that being a Scientologist you can look at someone and you know absolutely that you can help them. This is because he has learned a proven technology that helps people. When you understand the mind or why people act like they do when they are stressed or upset you are able to help. In the same way that if you understood all of the components of a car then you would be able to fix it if it were broken.
He then goes on to say "for me it really is KSW". KSW means "Keeping Scientology Working" which is a policy letter that L. Ron Hubbard wrote for the purpose of not allowing the technology to be altered by others. The technology was researched and proven to work, so in order to keep it working L. Ron Hubbard wrote this Policy Letter. It's just like if you were to create a recipe on how to make a certain kind of bread. If you go altering that recipe, then what happens? It's lost forever, right? So in order to keep Scientology Working he created this Policy Letter. Thus the name "Keeping Scientology Working."
He says that when he read it, (the policy letter KSW) he just went "pfoo! This is it! This is exactly it." Obviously, in order to understand this fully, you would have to read the policy letter for yourself. (Just as a personal note, it is an amazing policy letter) . I could tell you how awesome chocolate was, but you would never believe me unless you tried it for yourself, right? I could tell you all day long that this certain book was incredible, but are you going to know that if you hadn't read it? Nope. It's the same with this Policy Letter. You have never read it, so when he expresses his realization with it, you are not going to understand it unless you read it yourself.
Now, a big controversial topic is when he talks about driving past an accident where he says something to the effect of "you know you have to do something about it because you are the only one that can really help." Now, he is not talking about physical help here people. He's not talking about bypassing all of the paramedics etc. and he's not saying that other people can't help. It's pretty obvious that anyone could help in a situation like this. What He is talking about is helping the person spiritually with Scientology techniques which he has learned. In order to really get what he is talking about you need to learn something first, or you're simply not going to get it.
**The mind is composed of two parts. One of these is the Analytical Mind. This is the portion of the mind which thinks, observes data, remembers it and resolves problems. It has standard memory banks which contain mental image pictures, and uses the data in these banks to make decisions that promote survival. However, two things appear to be - but are not - recorded in the standard banks: painful emotion and physical pain. In moments of intense pain, the action of the analytical mind is suspended and the second part of the mind, the Reactive Mind, takes over. When a person is fully conscious, his anyalytical mind is fully in command. When the individual is "unconscious" in full or in part, the reactive mind cuts in, in full or in part. "Unconscious" could be caused by the shock of an accident, anesthetic used for and operation, the pain of an injury or the deliriums of illness. When the person is "unconscious", the reactive mind exactly records all the perceptions of that incident, including what happens or is said around the person. It also records all pain and stores this mental image picture in its own banks, unavailable to the individual's conscious recall and not under his direct control. Though it may appear that a person knocked out in an accident is unconscious and unaware of happenings around him, his reactive mind is actually industriously recording everything for future use. (reference: the book "What is Scientology?")
In the future these types of incidents recorded in the reactive mind will have a negative effects on the person in his or her life. It causes a person to feel anxious, depressed, angry, etc, etc, etc. It can also cause a person to have physical disabilities.
There are certain techniques that Scientology has that helps a person get rid of these negative effects. There are also things that one can do during an accident to prevent these negative effects from happening in the first place. This is what Tom Cruise is talking about. Only people who have learned these particular techniques can help a person who has had an accident or who has hurt himself so that it doesn't have negative mental affects for his or her future. No one else has this particular technology except Scientology. (If you don't believe this then you would have to do some research to find out for yourself that this is in true.) So when he says that he is the only one that can help, this is what he is talking about. Can you use these techniques to help someone get rid of these negatives in ones mind during an accident? Not unless you have learned them yourself.
**Scientology techniques are all natural as opposed to psychiatry. Psychiatry believes that when someone is stressed or depressed or has gone through some sort of trama in their lives, then they have some sort of "mental illness" and are alot of times put on mind altering drugs. Which is better? You tell me. If this does not fully answer your question as to what he meant let me know and I will make it even more clear.
.
Now he says he knows that we have an opportunity to really help. This is because Scientology is able to eliminate the negative and irrational feelings that people struggle with every day so that people are happier. Do you realize that war, criminality, stupidity, etc. are mostly caused by the reactive mind? Think about it.
Now he says that he is dedicated. Dedicated to what? Helping people. Don't you think that if you had a technology that helped people rid themselves of their personal turmoils, you would want to help them too so that they too are happier, more successful, etc...etc...etc...? If not, well......that would be sad. Helping others is what Scientologists do.
Now he says "Orgs are there to help." An "org" is a Scientology term that means, quite simply, "organization". A Scientology organization is made up of staff members who help people on a full time basis. Then he refers to himself as a "public" which is a Scientologist who is not a staff member. They come into the organizations for help from the staff members.
Now he is talking about how it's every Scientologist's job to help others. This makes since doesn't it? If you had your hands on a technology that could effectively make people sane and happy, then wouldn't you also want others to know about it so you could help them? I would hope so!
He talks about "am I going to help that person or am I afraid because I have my own "out ethics?". "Out ethics" is basically doing things in your life that are not survival activities. i.e. If someone were stealing money from their boss every day then you could say that he was being "out ethics". Whereas someone who was doing all they could to help their boss; helping him to expand his company, etc. would be "in ethics". Understand? If you knew how to help people for real and you didn't, wouldn't you consider this as "out ethics"?. I personally would as everyone on this planet affects your life one way or another. If someone were bitten by a snake and you had the antidote but didn't give it to him/her , then you would consider this as "out ethics."
Now he says that he wouldn't hesitate to put someone elses "ethics" in. This means
that he is not afraid to tell another Scientologist that they should be helping others too as they too know how. Again, simple.
He now talks about "either you're on board or you're not on board". Ok. So he's simply saying that he is on a mission to help others and he expects other Scientologists to do the same. If not, then move out of the way so he can get to work helping others.(He's not talking about you. He's talking about people who are in Scientology and know what the subject is and what is does for people. Remember, and this is very important, that this video was made for fellow Scientologists, not for the general public.)
He then goes on to state another very misunderstood statement which is "We are the authorities on getting people off of drugs, we are the authorities of the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions; Criminon, we can rehabilitate criminals, Way to Happiness, we can bring about peace and unite cultures; that once you know these tools and you know they work it's not good enough that I'm just doing ok".
Alright, this is obviously a big one to cover. First of all he is using a very strong word, "Authority". Ok, so let me ask you this, if you have a technology that helps people get off of drugs, and it works and people successfully stay off of drugs and it works better than any program in the United States (or anywhere) then wouldn't you consider that those who had that technology an "authority" on that particular subject?
