Here's what I want to know now:

1) Just how much $$ Tom paid to Jada Pinkett Smith to talk to People Magazine about Suri.

2) If Katie is going back to work b/c they need more cash to give to Scientology for all of their nonsense w/the beach ball, publicity, paying off people (Leah, Jada) to say they've seen Suri, etc.

Just catching up on the best thread ever. I just wanted to add that the people who are boycotting Scientology also need to add The Simpsons
to their list as Nancy Cartwright who is the voice of Bart is a Scientologist. I too am going to be boycotting the people who support that cult.

I'm still tagless. I think the tag fairy is punishing me for not giving enough money to Fairentology. I take my family for therapy at the Mouse Celebrity Centre as much as I can afford, but it is very expensive. I'm thinking of getting a job in the Cast Member Org so that they will give us our therapy at a discount. Anyone every notice how Oprah doesn't have Mickey or Minnie on her show....they must definately NOT be Scientologists.

I used to joke that Oprah was perhaps a closet Scientologist. But it's really not funny. She is so influential, think of the amount of people who might dabble in it if she tells them to. Just the way the article stated that Cruise is actively trying to convert Oprah. Why? Why would he actively convert her? He's insane. And scary.

I quit watching Oprah years ago when she started saying "whoever God is to you." She always says that in the context of.... It doesn't matter what you believe just as long as you believe something. Well, I think that means you don't believe anything, right. Because if I believe something, I beleive it because I think that is the truth. So I totally think that she is a scientologist because they seem to think that they can create whatever truth they want. Well, in my understanding of God, he gets to be the big guy whether or not I want to accept that. I can't give myself super human powers just by visualizing it or whatever other crap they say!

Sorry to bud in, I just can't stand Oprah. I think that it is weird how many 30ish and up women seem to worship her! I've been reading all of the posts on this thread since day 1 and I am really enjoying it!

As someone who was a 30 something until two days ago, I've never understood the Oprah allure. But I have to agree with you that there are way too many people who are so taken with what she has to say that they'd drink the kool aid if she said to do it.

F.Y.I. - Did anyone see ET last night? - They made this big deal about another Suri sighting and it was Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg). I think she's also a scientologist. She said the standard "She's beautiful,blah,blah,blah, ...but something seemed off about the way she answered. It was like she wasn't sure what she should say. Maybe she lost the script she was given .

Ahhhh, See? You're getting sucked in slowly. I always thought that too when she started it. Like she was talking to everyone whether they were Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Budhist, etc....but like I said before, the message just keeps getting less and less religious. More and more materialistic and ME centered. At first I thought it was very wonderful that she didn't just speak to one group, but it's starting to become it's own little religion I think. This is where I admire Star Jones. She doesnt preach to anyone what they should believe, but she isn't going to apologize for what she believes. She is a woman of conviction. She does not water down anything to make it taste better to the masses. She openly states, "Jesus is MY Savior, He is in control, I have trust in Him" No if ands or buts. If she had Travolta on, I think she wouldn't fawn over him and say "I LOVVVVVVVVVEEEE you!" I think she would just stick to the movie he ws promoting and that would be it. Any way, I thnk it is dangerous to put so much trust in one human like that (Oprah).

All those quotes sound SOOOOOOO scripted. How long ago was it that Will and Jada were publically spouting they hadn't seen the baby. Now 'she's beautiful.' All scientologists all the same thing, blah blah blah. Seems like Tom's PR people got him to do something. It wasn't the 'right' thing but at least they are trying to manage the story a little bit.
