OOHH, Long time lurker on this thread, first time poster here. I've been waiting until I have something fun to post. Today is the day!

I was just reading the Awful Truth and Ted has a new Blind vice up here;

Awful Truth

Pretty sure Ted is talking about our own Tommy Boy. But which one of the sane young women do you think this refers to? I'm guessing Jessica Alba, but I don't have any solid reasoning.

Interesting read. Sounds like it allegedly could be Tom. Wonder who else he allegedly called besides poor Katie.

How could she not think this through? Was she that blinded by her teenage crush with him? Was she that niave? I wonder if she is ever going to be able to break away from him? Now poor Suri is going to be raised by him and his thetan dwelling family.

I heard that his whole family (mother, sister, her kid, plus his 2 kids from the first marriage) lives with him, Katie and Suri. I can't imagine being surronded like that. I told my husband, "I love your family, but there is no way in h*ll that I would want to live with all of them." A person needs their privacy. :sad2:

There was allegedly three or four others who he went after, I think one of them was Scarlett Johansson.

Fox News

It took me a minute to find this, but the theory that he offered the part of "Mrs. Crazy Scientology" to a number of Hollywood up and comers seems to have been floating around for a while. After reading the list of possibilities here, I'm still not sure which one Ted was referring to. I'm wondering about Kate Bosworth...

Much earlier in this thread is a list of the possibles. :thumbsup2 If you read the whole thing you get a lifetime supply of tinfoil. ;)

Okay, I called the number I found on the web for the Life Exhibition. I think because it was 5 in the morning California time when I called, it was transfered to some "building". I couldn't understand what he said as he had a strong Australian or New Zealand accent. I asked if there was a fee for the museum and he said no.

I did read there is a push at the end to buy books and scientology related stuff. JUST SAY NO!! :wizard: It is located at the corners of Hollywood and Vine. I believe it opens at 10am.

Let us know if you go!!

OMG I spoke to a scientologist. Please excuse me while I try to scrub my ears and brain out with bleach.

Thanks for getting the info for me!! I hope your ears and brain are squeaky clean!! God only knows what it will take to get me clean, should I decide to go! LOL!! I'm envisioning a full haz/mat squadron outside my door...to the tune of the CDC in Monsters Inc.!! I'll keep you posted

As for the Miss V. referred to in Ted's article...I know who the previously discussed possibles were but who, besides Katie, claimed virginity? Hmmmm

Great articles & stuff! I found this today:

John Travolta skips Today

Look Who's Not Talking To Today
The staff at Today could use a free stress test. Once studly Scientologist John Travolta will not be appearing on the morning show this summer with his cast-mates from Hairspray. An insider told Fox News that John is boycotting the show because fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise was grilled about his religious beliefs by butterface journalist Matt Lauer in 2005.

John's publicist says that the Wild Hogs star won't be doing the show because his pal Diane Sawyer had already landed an exclusive for Good Morning America. Of course, Diane is the journalist who flustered Clay Aiken last fall by asking him about his sexuality and John still hasn't really explained why he was on the cover of the National Enquirer last December kissing a dude.

Today is planning on staging musical numbers from the movie, and John's rep notes that the 53-year-old isn't doing any live performances in character as Edna Turnblad, the (not so) yummy mummy to perky underdog Tracey. He's so over pantyhose, but who isn't?

WOW!!! :sad2:

For those of you who missed it the first time ... here's the scoop on Cruise's search for a wife:

Cruise Encounters of the Third kind
Katie Holmes may have fallen for it, but Tom Cruise’s sci-fi seduction technique scared the bejeezus out of Scarlett Johansson, a source close to the actress says. Weeks before he began wooing his brainwashed bride-to-be, Cruise made repeated phone calls to the 19-year-old starlet—who was then set to co-star with him in Mission Impossible III—imploring her to meet him at the Scientology Celebrity Center in L.A. But when the actress finally agreed, the supposedly professional get-together took an oddly spiritual turn. “[Cruise] took me into this room, which was stifling hot, and was showing me all kinds of info about joining the church,” Johansson told our source. “The whole time he didn’t even offer me a cookie!” Instead, he offered her dinner—and a glimpse into the Twilight Zone.

After two hours of proselytizing, our source says Cruise opened a door to reveal a second room full of upper-level Scientologists who had been waiting to dine with the pair, at which point the cool-headed ingenue politely excused herself. Soon after the meeting, Johansson dropped out of Mission Impossible III, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts. Asked about the incident, Johansson’s momager, Melanie Johansson, referred Radar to a publicist, who did not return calls or emails seeking comment. After striking out with Johansson, Cruise reportedly turned his attentions to 24-year-old Jessica Alba, 22-year-old Kate Bosworth, and 18-year-old Lindsay Lohan, before settling on the 26-year-old Holmes. As far we know, Cruise’s War of the Worlds co-star, Dakota Fanning, was never under consideration

Well all I can say is I am glad Jett is right up front next to JT hopefully getting some well deserve attention. Seems lately all JT talks about in recent interviews (Wild Hogs) is Ella and the hopes of trying for a baby boy ("because we already have our princess") direct quote from JT while on the Leno show several weeks ago. Hmmm, John, you already have a boy. :sad2:

The Dirt on the Dish

Posted Apr 14th 2007 3:06AM by TMZ Staff

Sometimes the lies of supermarket tabs are so good, they become reality.

That's the word from Hal Lifson, a longtime hack for the National Enquirer, Star, and a slew of other tabs. He's writing a new behind-the-scenes tell-all on tabloid life titled, "Sources Say: The Ugly Truth Behind America's Tabloid Business."

"Many stories have a kernel of truth," Lifson tells the NY Post, "...but they have to be taken further." Some of Lifson's fables? He once concocted a story for Celebrity Living mag, saying that Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston were having frequent slumber parties, saying that Aniston had given Simpson the nickname of "Gidget," and the pair had started watching old "Gidget" surf movies together. Perhaps inspired by Lifson's story, Jess' dad, Joe, tried to acquire the rights to "Gidget" as a project for his daughter.

Lifson says the key to creating a great tabloid story is writing something with big names, and little controversy. Take the Tom Cruise "Bozo the Clown" incident, which ran in the Globe.

"One trick to concocting stories is to make them "nice" and relatively inoffensive so the celebs won't beef," explains Lifson. "[I came up with a story that ] Tom plays Bozo for [his baby] Suri, and that it caused a problem because Katie Holmes is scared of clowns. The headline in the Globe was, 'Tom and Katie's Battle Over Bozo.' I said that Tom tapped into the innocent, pure image of Bozo. It wasn't a mean story, it wasn't ugly. Do you think Tom ever complained?"

This is rather interesting. Kat(i)e is afraid of clowns :clown: . I guess Tommy didn't have his :clown: mask on the first time they met......:lmao: OR Kat(i)e would have run for the HILLS!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: (Wow, this is the first time I actually was able to use the clown smilie!!) :lmao:

Does Scientology have a problem with gay people? I don't understand why John and Tom won't come out of the closet. My brothers kiss my dad, their sons and each other but not with their eyes closed and not on the lips. The guy is the Travolta's nanny. This is not the 1950's for goodness sakes. This is the Travolta pic:

Just read in the newspaper that Katie is HERE is Shreveport. She had a short press conference yesterday with a few of her other co-stars in Mad Money. The press conference was at the Eldorado Casino Hotel, so she and the rest of the cast might be staying there to begin with. There was no mention of the "Short One" or Suri.

Both she and Diane Keaton had been to Target on Friday (it's about a mile from my home).

Wow, i just found something so exciting. I'm going to have to put it on my Christmas list!!

The Scientology Album, lyrics by L. Ron Hubbard with such wonderful artists as Frank Stallone, John Travolta and Leif Garrett. If you click on the song title, you get to actually hear them sing!!!:lmao:

She is afraid of clowns, poor thing, look at the circus she's gotten caught up in. It's full of Bozos.

If Katie is there you can bet "the short one" is there (I love that BTW!) since all the papers/mags have reported that he plans to be there the whole time (along with Suri) because the family needs to stay together. But in reality, he can't leave Katie and Suri alone because they might take off and not come back.

John Travolta says the Scientology has kept him from meeting the same fate as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.

Elvis, Marilyn Monroe ... John Travolta?

By Jeannette Walls

MSNBC

John Travolta doesn’t suffer from lack of ego. The “Wild Hogs” star recently boasted that he was as big a star as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe — but didn’t suffer the same fate as them because of his values and religion.
“I have fame on the level of a Marilyn Monroe or an Elvis, but part of the reason I didn’t go the way they did was because of my beliefs,” Travolta told the Irish Independent.
The star went on to credit his sometimes controversial religion for the difference between his fate and theirs.

“People make judgments about it [Scientology], but often they don’t know what they’re talking about,” Travolta said. “I would advise anyone who wants to know about it to read up on it. We [the Church of Scientology] are only getting bigger and we help people all over the world, from disaster zones to drug rehabilitation.”
Travolta also explained how he used his celeb status to help Scientology in Germany, where it had been under attack in some circles. “We were having a problem in Germany [where some critics called Scientology a money-making entity rather than a religion],” he told the Independent. “I talked to [former president Bill] Clinton who talked to Chancellor Kohl and things have improved since then.”

Wow, maybe he should have a cabinet post and naybe he could go into the middle east and end all their problems. He talked to Clinton and Clinton talked to Kohl and now the "church isn't having as many problems there"...boy is he good! See, Scientology can end all the worlds ills, why have we not tapped into all their knowlege and help before. The world leaders must be really stupid to not recognize that!;) ;)

Wow, Travolta really thinks way to much of himself. He actually believes that he has as much fame and is on the same level of Elvis and Marilyn? Sounds like he has a bit of an ego on him.

Germany had it right by the way. They are nothing more then a money making scheme. I just don't understand how people can get sucked into a scifi tale and willingly dump hundreds and thousands of dollars into it. All the while believing this nonsense.

I can't help but laugh at them in their stupidity but I feel pity also. I can't imagine believing in something like that. :scared1:
