Oh me, oh my! Are we really going to WDW in.....JULY!?! UPDATES TODAY 07/19 pg 30!!

THANKS LL!!! I'll check out my local running store and see if they have it.
Jen, I can't imagine doing the parks withOUT hopper passes. I just like to have that option of leaving one park and going to another.

I really want to try to Wishes dessert party....I'm still thinking about booking one...I'm excited to see what you think of it. I've heard good things but I just can't bring myself to justify the cost! I bet you guys will have a blast! I'm sure Megan will love it! :)

I am a firm believer in park hopping! I like the freedom it gives and I often do more than one park per day so it works for me! I'm to fickle to stick to a rigid, rigid schedule though! I usually have an outline but lots of room for improvisation!

Wishes party sounds awesome. Can't go wrong with dessert popcorn::

We can't live without park hoppers. I definitely think that is the way to go :wizard:

You certainly can NOT go wrong with a buffet of them ESPECIALLY!!! :rotfl: I am sure my stomach will be sore after that night! I have a feeling whether we get them or not will be a decision that we will all make down there as the week progresses. I just found out that they have a different price for hopping for 1 day....I did not know that! Good to know!

Happy Ten Days 'til Disney, Jen!!!

There's always room for one more ADR especially when it is something as much fun as the Wishes Dessert Party! How fun!!! :thumbsup2

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Thanks for the HAPPY DANCING for TEN DAYS BABY!!!! That banana pretty much looks like the three of us dancing this morning after we changed the countdown!!! :rotfl2: I can NOT believe we are getting this close!!! I am so excited, and have so much to do all at the same time...it is OVERWHELMING!! Ha ha! I think the Dessert Party will be a special moment for us all...the boys will be in heaven!!!

We are having a great weekend---very busy---but all good things to celebrate!!!

I so want to try a wishes dessert party! We love park hoppers. We only had 1 park day this trip and we did Magic Kingdom in the morning/early afternoon then back to the hotel and EPCOT at night. It was wonderful!

What a wonderful day!! I hope you all got to see everything you were hoping to see!!! :) I will tell you all about the party!!!!

Yay for the dessert party!! I thought the tiramisu there was the best I've found on property, the key lime tarts are also excellent :thumbsup2

I've done trips with hoppers and without. They are convenient but not necessary in my opinion but I'm guessing you end up with them

My BFF also did the party in April when they went, and said it was wonderful. I am SO looking forward to it!

I have no real opinion on the hopping....we are all so laid back, that we are just going to wait to see if we need them or not! Time will tell.....

THANKS LL!!! I'll check out my local running store and see if they have it.

That does sound heavenly...especially on those nights when you get done earlier with the park you started out at!

I will give you the full report on the party in hopes to "talk" you into booking it for yourself! I think the girls will enjoy viewing the fireworks from that location!

We have a good itinerary set, but I know we are all so flexible about things, we are just going to take it one day at a time!!!

Happy 9 days!!

I say you go with park hoppers, I really love park hopping. Right now we aren't getting them for January and it makes me a teeny bit panicky to be honest. I like having the option to hop.

I can't even imagine going without hoppers...

So I say you decide to do this!:Pinkbounc:bounce::ccat::donald::dumbo:

I am sure we will be joining in the hopping gang, but probably not until we get down there! Tom is so funny though, he is really leaning towards hopping, but then he worries about his FP Mastery skills by not being in the same park at the end of the day.......ahhhhhhh, he is too funny! Do you think someone likes the title of FP Master or what?!?!?!?!

congrats on the countdown!!! :) we did the dessert party the last time. It will be interesting to see what you thought of it?

I agree, it gives much more freedom and flexibility. Imagine going to AK and getting rained out (not a good park for rain IMO b/c of the animals)...then you can head to another park without a problem! And that was just ONE example ;)

Now, normally when I get to this point of the planning, I feel a little like this:
:banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::hyper::dancer:party::jumping1::jumping3:

I think you get the picture. Who is NOT usually giddy with excitement about the upcoming trip?!?!?!?!?!?!

But this morning, when I woke up to see that Megan had already changed the countdown calendar to 9 out of her excitement, I felt a little more like this:
:eek::headache::sick::sad2::scared::scared1::crazy2::faint::worried:

The nausea of worry actually swept over me like a tidal wave! Now don't get me wrong, I am VERY excited about this trip, and can NOT wait until our "Family Truckster" rolls down the driveway due to south to MICKEY'S HOUSE!!!! But looming over my head until that day is a lot of STUFF!!!! We checked three major "to-do items" off the list this weekend: I had to attend a shower for a cousin getting married while we are away, attend a wedding for another cousin, and celebrate my Grandmother's 86th birthday. All wonderful things to celebrate!!! We also are partially through the renovations at the house--the new hardwood in the kitchen and dining area was finished being installed on Saturday. It is BEAUTIFUL, and I would LOVE to show you pictures, but just as soon as the flooring guys finished with that room, we had to cover it up to move the large family room furniture into the dining area to make way for the new carpet that is being installed in the family room, hall, and down the steps tomorrow. Right now, my home is in complete disarray---and I understand why---but for my inner OCD self---this is all just a tad bit too much!!! Last night while we were emptying the family room of the last remaining items, Tom looked over at me at one point to ask if I really was alright. Apparently, my face had grown quite pale and I looked if I were about to "toss" all the wonderfully homemade food we just enjoyed at my grandmother's birthday meal. Since I was not suffering at all from any signs of the "flu," he grew quite worried about whether or not I was going to "make it" through the rest of the renovations!!! I hate to admit, but I totally understood his concern. I tried to squelch the worry and uneasiness as best I could, but I am seriously one messed up little pup when my world becomes turned upside down! For some reason, tearing the house apart, makes me want to go purge, reorganize, and rearrange just about everything in the entire house....all before we leave for vacation too!!! :rotfl::rotfl2: Oh man, I am one messed up pup!!! I just hope that once the new carpet is in, we move the stuff back to where it all goes, I can squelch the urgent desire/need to purge and reorganize my entire house before we leave!!! Hopefully, I can push that back to the edge of my mind to leave for after we return!!! Hopefully..... :rotfl2::lmao:

BECAUSE, before we go, I need to check in at my school on my room--it should now be finished with the summer cleaning--and I have to see what is actually going to be in that room so that I know what I need to bring into it before school starts on AUGUST 17th!!!!! ACK!!!! I also need to PACK!!! That has been put drastically on hold because of the renovations--yes, it makes my eyebrow twitch every day I have to walk past my suitcases in the spare room that are now trapped by the furniture from the kitchen!

Now, I know this is my brain working in overdrive and that it will ALL get done in time, but it makes my head swim and my stomach churn.....especially when Megan takes down one more number off our beloved countdown calendar!!! I know I can DO THIS, it is just getting through these speed bumps that is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!

Okay........

So on today's "to-do list" are the following:
--go to school to see my room, turn in my supplies sheet, and look at the 2nd grade rosters to see who is in Megan's class.
--go to Target to get soap, dusting spray, toilet paper, and better hair clips.
--take Megan swimming
--stop at the library to pick up the items waiting for us
--figure out some way to cook dinner in my kitchen
--laundry
--clean the bathrooms

Phew......just writing it out made me tired!!!!

BUT..... in 9 DAYS BABY I am heading to our favorite place in the world for 10 days of FUN!!!!! Can't WAIT!!! Shall we dance?!?!?!

:cool1::dance3::yay::cool1:

congrats on the countdown!!! :) we did the dessert party the last time. It will be interesting to see what you thought of it?

Thanks Annette!!! Okay, is there something I should know before we go girlie?!?!?! Give me the scoop!

I agree, it gives much more freedom and flexibility. Imagine going to AK and getting rained out (not a good park for rain IMO b/c of the animals)...then you can head to another park without a problem! And that was just ONE example ;)

mmmm dessert!! I can't wait to see pics and hear what you think of it!

I like the idea of the freedom and the flexibility of it too!!! I will be sure to take good pictures and give you a thorough review when we get back!!!

Bless your heart! I would be going nuts right now. I was like that when we built our house and moved in. Best of luck to you!

I can't wait to hear about the dessert party! I almost booked one this trip but decided against it. I am planning to when we go back in November.

:cool1:Yay for single digits! You are getting so close.

Holy cow woman! :eek:You're stressing me out with that list!

Take a nice, deep, calming breath and picture yourself driving through that lovely WDW entry way.:cloud9: All of your worries will melt away once you're there! And everything will work out fine. There will be plenty of time to get things done. Just don't overwhelm yourself by thinking about it too much!

:dance3: Plus you get to single digit dance now! :dance3:

I would totally feel that way too if my house was going through some changes! I'm quite OCD about things as well (my clothes are color coded in my closet!) and I didn't back for this past trip until the night before! I have just been way too busy, but it made me relax that much MORE while there!

We did get to see everything we wanted on our one park day. We utilized those fast passes and were SHOCKED at how NOT crowded Magic Kingdom was on a SATURDAY during 4th of July weekend!

9 Days is SO exciting...is it bad that I already want to plan my return!?

Happy Single Digits!!!

Okay, Jen, I know we have said it before but your post calls for reiterating it again. We are TOO much alike. When things are out of place and in disarray, I freak! Can't handle it at all! So, I feel your pain over the new floors, but it will soon be finished and everything back to normal.

I hope you opted for eating out or ordering pizza instead of trying to cook in your kitchen. ;)

9 days!! Although, now I guess you are almost at 7 days!!

You can do it!! Breath in, breath out! I completely understand though, I get OCD even if Blake's family comes in for a weekend and ONE room gets messed up, so I totally get why you feel overwhelmed if most of your house is disorganized!! We are with you though!

Just take it "easy", try not to get overwhelmed, feel the accomplishment of crossing those things off your to-do list. THAT in itself always makes me feel better! :thumbsup2 And you and Tom and Megs will be in Disney soon having a great trip!!!! :wizard:

Sanity is creeping back in today now that there is light at the end of the tunnel....but SO not fun trying to get through those speed bumps!!! :lmao:

I will give you the full scoop on the dessert party so you can make an informed decision for November!!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY BABY!!!!! YAHOO!!!

Holy cow woman! :eek:You're stressing me out with that list!

Thanks Stace!!! I needed that in the worst way!!!! Phew......I feel better!!! WDW GATES, WDW GATES, WDW GATES in one week!!!!!!!!!!! EEEK!!!!

SO OCD at times....just need things in order! Megan and I are going to begin packing today (Wednesday), so that will help SO much!

We were following the wait times on UT wait times app, and we could not believe how low the waits were! I hope they stay that low!!!! :goodvibes

Never too early to start planning your return I say!

:dance3::dance3::dance3: This is me doing the 9 day dance with you!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Thanks so much!!!!! ONE WEEK!!!! EEEKKKK!

Happy Single Digits!!!

I swear, God thought he did such a good job "making us" that he just decided to put another one on this Earth for all to enjoy! :goodvibes SO ALIKE IT IS SCARY!!! Slowly getting back to normal, but I do see the end in sight! PHEW!!!!

SO totally ate out last night on the way home from the pool, and ordered in pizza tonight as we put the place back together again......yeah, I should probably cook something tomorrow, eh?!?!?! :rolleyes1

Thanks so much for the understanding and support....SO appreciated!!! ;) Checking off to-do's left and right! Can't wait to tackle some more in the morning!!!!!

So let's just re-evaluate the past two days, shall we?!?!?!

Original "To-Do List" from Monday:

So on today's "to-do list" are the following:
--go to school to see my room (check--although, didn't see much--still no furniture in it yet!), turn in my supplies sheet (check!) and look at the 2nd grade rosters to see who is in Megan's class (check!).

--go to Target to get soap, dusting spray, toilet paper, and better hair clips (check--except that I forgot to get hair clips because Megs needed to use the restroom!).
--take Megan swimming (check--for four hours on Monday...it was heavenly!)
--stop at the library to pick up the items waiting for us (check--although I found out today that there is more for me to pick up tomorrow!)
--figure out some way to cook dinner in my kitchen (check--skipped the cooking and had our favorite Mexican with my parents on the way home from the pool!)
--laundry (check--only two loads to do in the morning of things from today)
--clean the bathrooms (check!)

So Monday was a big success! I was at first upset that I still have NO furniture in my room at school, but then it was also comforting because I thought, "Hey, I can't work on this at all until they move that stuff in!" In a way, it gives me one less thing to worry about over the next week! YEAH! :thumbsup2 Tuesday, was also pretty great! Megan was picked up at 10:30 by one of my BFFs to go spend the day with her "BBBBBBBBBBBBBFFFFFFFFF" (as they call each other) Margaret. She was gone having a great day with her while the carpet was being installed. The carpet dudes worked on tearing out the old carpet and pad, and installing my now beautiful new carpet from 11am until 5pm. I worked on finishing laundry, scrapbooking with my Mom, and taking care of some "to-dos" that Tom had left for me. When Tom got home from work, we started putting the furniture back in the appropriate places. Luckily, my sister and her boyfriend came over to help too! We ordered in pizza, watched a little of the All-star game, and relaxed a bit. Things are looking SO good as we get things back in order! I can't wait to finish up the final details tomorrow (Wednesday)!!!!

Tomorrow's To Do List:
--finish unloading spare room and putting items back where they belong.
--reorganize anything that needs to be reorganized.
--go pick up items from library
--go to store for any forgotten/needed items from my list.
--pack up Megan's clothes into day bags

Feels so much more manageable!!!

TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) is only ONE WEEK until we leave!!!!! EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!!!

AHhhhhhhh......that sounds SO nice!
--

I like your way of thinking that God was so pleased he made two of us! :rotfl: Makes me feel very special! :goodvibes

Happy One Week Until Disney!!! That's awesome!!! :woohoo:

Your to-do list is getting more and more manageable! I had to laugh about the library -- invariably, I will go to pick up stuff that is on hold, and then have to turn around and go pick up more stuff! Never fails. LOL!

Glad things are returning to normal around your house. I would not worry about cooking tonight, either, unless it is something super easy -- like Tom grilling hamburgers or chicken. :thumbsup2
