Oh, how I HATE to cook...

I hate to cook mainly because of the three kids -- someone is always going yuck or making faces. Nobody likes all the same - one eats only meat, one eats only pasta. Tonight I made a chicken, they were all complaining it was too dry and their friend was over just shoveling the food in going -- this is so good. Another night I had my DD's friend and she cleaned her plate in like two seconds flat. I think I would faint if my kids ever cleaned a plate. We usually eat out every weekend.

Not only do I hate to cook...I'm horrible at it! If it doesn't come out of a box, bag or can with specific directions, I can't do it. DH can just wing it, but I can't...I need directions!

I just hate cleaning it up. DH and I usually cook together, and I enjoy cooking and reading cookbooks (I check them out from the library, read through them, take down good recipes, and return them for another) but I HATE HATE HATE cleaning the dishes... therefore, I don't cook as often...

HATE IT! And I don't do it. Either I nuke it, eat out, or just make a sandwich. I had just a teensy incident with the nuker and a Boca Burger last night. But that happens only once every few years...a teensy kitchen incident. No firefighters this time! ;)

I'm married to a chef, so I only cook when I want to!

Some girls have all the luck!

....yea, I'm pretty lucky!!! He even does a lot housework!

I'm right w/ you. We eat out pretty much every night. Thankfully we've found many places offer so many healthy items these days that it's not hard on the waistline or cholesterol, just the budget.

Add me to the list of those who just do not enjoy this particular chore.

Oh, my mom will tell you that I "can't" cook. Ain't so, I say. I can cook - I just choose not to.

I hate coming up with ideas on what to serve, mainly because I have one particularly picky eater who hates EVERYTHING. So why bother coming up with something new only to get the big "thumbs down" at dinner.

So yes, I cook. But if we ever win the lottery I'll hire someone to do it for me.
