daughter was watching this...was painful just being in the same room listening to the bad lyrics and singing coming from the tube.

:tiptoe::duck:

with all of Disney's resources...the stuff they show on the DC is so lame...none of the programs show any imagination...none are truly funny...the overdone laugh track makes them even worse.

granted...I'm not the target audience, but lame is lame.

compare anything shown on the DC with anything done by Pixar...there's a big big big difference.

DD watched it last night and thought the same thing. Her friend watched it a few days ago and warned her. I'm so glad we didn't plan any kind of "party" like we did with all the HSM movies.

Oh, we are sooooo glad in this house that we can stop seeing the hype - "The Biggest Movie Event of the Summer!!!!"

Yeah - three months of hearing that...... and all the rest of the commercials.... is now over! Whoo Hoo!

I though the HSM trilogy was great. I feel like Disney is shoving Camp Rock down our throats.

My girls have waited patiently all summer and are enjoying the movie. But it was indeed painful. Our TiVo is a bit behind, so I haven't caugt the blockbuster ending. But everything about this movie was not good. Except the part where they totallled the tour bus. Hubby and I thought that was the best part.:rotfl:

Does anyone else think the two rival camps should merge and become one big camp called "Camp RockStar"??? :) That could be the third movie, next summer!!

Just three months? It seemed longer. "Did you know that there is a Camp Rock part II coming out?" "Why no, I hadn't heard that" has been a joke in our house. :lmao:

It's on, It's on....It's onnnnnnn

Roshon, Roshon, Roshon.....

;)

Oh, the bit about the tour bus - the behind the scenes footage is better than the real thing!

My daughter is watching it right now with a friend...We are on the West Coast..
How did your daughter watch it last night and her friend a few days ago.. Doesn't it premier tonight on Disney? (Friday night!)

see we actually liked it here...I thought it was way better than HSM3 and about the same as HSM2

but then again we took it as a fun movie with cute songs and dances and not some major classic film....we also just went to the concert last week so that helped..

Direct Fios on Verizon allows you to watch it 7 days early on demand.

My 2 older girls watched it. They aren't "groupies" when it comes to these movies. They watch them but are not obsessed. They found HSM to be boring. I thought the first Camp Rock was ok....certainly not great, but not bad either. I did not watch the 2nd one. I am glad that all the promotions will end.

My daughter recorded it and is watching it as I write this. I dunno... I'm kind of feeling the 'It's On' groove right now! I am rocking it out on the computer!!! I guess I like the dancing.

awe, we thought it was cute! had a big slumber party! whatevs, its a kids movie, and my kids enjoyed it...then again, they don't take movies so serious lol

It was available on Verizon Fios for the week before the premier night. After watching you could rate it, my dd rated it a 0
She gets to watch Disney shows too before they premier, I love Fios :lovestruc

Not saying it wasn't a fun movie with fun music - just saying it was extremely OVER-hyped!! Of course, our fault for watching too much Disney Channel in this house. :rolleyes1

That movie was so over-hyped, but not woth it to me. The kids enjoyed it, but they aren't raving about it.

DD (14) came home from a party last night where they watched Paranormal Activity. I went to bed but got up about 11 to let the dog out and she was watching Camp Rock on the DVR, I thought wow that was a real contrast in her evening. I went back to bed and she is still sleeping so I have no idea if she liked it or not. For the record, she didn't like Paranormal Activity.

I watched it last night w/ DH. WORST THING EVER! My husband kept on making hilarious comments such as wen they sang, "Lalala let me see how you bop it's on it's on it on." He would say, "We can't think of anything else so we're putting in Lalala's." :happytv:

We enjoyed it - from teenagers to early elementary. Not a classic, but fun.

I particularly enjoyed Camp Rock 2. Then again, I was with my friends and we spent the entire time mocking it profusely :teeth:
