We're sitting here in Angie's tent and have nothing to do. (this is Christa)..
We're extending our stay through next weekend...and STILL haven't had Pete's birthday cake...we were waiting for you, cause we know how you get. I haven't even had a frozen drink yet. It's just not the same without you. Let us know when you are on your way cause we need more beer...

Donnie,

Make mine a 30 pack of Miller Lite Bottles. Last one here buys the beer.

Christa says you need to clean out the grocery store of peach daquari mix because you didn't have any services to perform this weekend. You need to pitch into the pot.:cool2:

Thanks for saving me from starting a thread. It started out a bad day. Got the camper hooked up and got almost to 95 and looked out the right window to see rubber flying and smoke. The right rear tire blew out and shredded all over. It ripped a pretty good size hole in what the dealer calls L wrap. It's the aluminum that wraps the bottom of the camper. I had a jack which didn't go up high enough and one of those plastic ramps you drive the good tire on and it's supposed to lift the other up. Well that wasn't high enough either. Ended up pulling up on a curb and finally got it done. If I'd had a shovel I could've dug a hole in the ground easier than what I had to go through.

I just decided to go back home since I didn't have a spare anymore and we were only 10 miles into the trip.. The pup will be home tonight so we'll attempt to come again tomorrow.

Right before the blowout I had made a pretty sharp u turn. A dump truck cut me off and I was forced into a right turn only lane. I didn't see any debris in the median and the only thing I can think that caused it was the tire may have spun off the rim during the tight turn. From now on I'll avoid u-turns.

That would explain the phone call. I keep some 2x10's for use under the stabilizer jacks, the last time I had a flat I just stacked them and drove the good tire up onto them. Mine are made with 2 2x10's nailed to each other with the top one being 2 inches shorter than the bottom one, that way I can make them into a ramp just by stacking them.

I hope you remember to stay on the main roads when loopin'! Everyone have fun and have a safer trip tomorrow, Donnie.
