Oh Come All Ye Faithful... DIS TR Addicts... UPDATE 4/19

Okay, I totally understand your reluctance, but you are going to have a great time. Honestly, the Mousefest people are really great. Chuck and I will be at the Mega mouse meet (of course) and Chuck is going to the Magic in Pixels meet. I can't believe you got into the Dismeet at HS. You are so lucky!! You have to go just to tell me about it. :lmao:

Have I mentioned how much I love and appreciate my DIS friends???

I am open to suggestions for the SOB (sort of beau) but trust me, he is VERY resistant. And since he is only in sort of status, not sure how much effort I care to expend to change it. ;)

LL- wish you could take one for the team and come too!

You too, CP!!!

And yes, I imagine that Suze would be all for maximizing the $ already spent.

Ahh.. the justifications a DIS'er can make. ;)

Love you gals!! :goodvibes

We love you, too, Christine -- that's why we are helping assuage your guilt! :rotfl:

All those meets sound way cool! All of them! You have to promise to take lots of photos! And I want to hear all about the WS that never was. Did you ever read Realityland by him?

I won't suggest you HAVE to go to Disney because I know that finances easily get in the way of what you WANT to do. (I haven't taken advantage of any of the recent deals because of that. Trust me, I would love to go back but it's just not in the books for me right now) Good luck with your decision.

I'm totally relating to the indicision Christine!!! my new PTR is collecting dust over there...cause I don't know what to say...I'm having serious 2nd thoughts too:sad2:

I really hope that I end up HAVING to take along my 'mystery who' because then I won't have the option to stay home!! So i'm feeling for ya!;)

I would have thought that any one applying for that job of BF (sorta or not) would need to pass the Disney test:confused3 .... I shoulda did that w/ my DH... not Disney per se, but travelling in general. Much easier if they're on the same wavelength as you on that sorta thing....at least my DH doesn't mind if I go with friends/solo!!

I think that you may want to skip the photography meet...you already have 1 or 2 planned anyway. Do the drinking around the world one!! I think that would be a fun thing to do in a group...as opposed to doing it solo!! i'm excited about the TSM meet...wow!! that sounds like a great time!!

Oh no Paula, I feel comfortable saying that you HAVE to go, your deal it too good to not! :goodvibes

I wish I had given my DH the Disney test too. He enjoyed our trip but doesn't understand why I want to go back already. He would be perfectly happy waiting another 5 years. Um, no, not gonna work for me

Thanks! I am sure it will be fantastic. And I can't wait to meet you guys (not a stalker, I promise!). Yes, I feel very lucky to have gotten in on the DIS Toy Story meet. It was almost coincidence. I wasn't consciously thinking about it but was on the computer and thought ~8:55 isn't tonight the night they are opening reservations and somehow snagged one. Being a singleton may have helped as well. I will plan to take lots of pics but in the note we got from the DIS it sounds like we can't publish any photos from the event. :confused3

Thanks, Jackie! :goodvibes I did read Realityland and loved it! It will be interesting to "meet" him in person, I think!

Thanks. I haven't gotten rid of all of the doubts but I keep thinking that I can't disappoint the little girl who has watched the Christmas parade since what feels like the beginning of time. :)

Hiya Paula. Well you best not let your PTR collect dust. We cannot let real life get in the way of Disney obsession. I hope your mystery guest can go with you too! As for the sorta beau and giving him the Disney test as a qualifier I wish I had! He thinks I'm nuts!!

I'm inclined to agree w/ you on the drinking vs. photography meet. And I don't think combining them would be good. :rotfl:

Yes Paula, you must! 5 years! :scared1: Kschafer you have to take control!! :)

To be honest today doesn't really contain a whole lot of plans. I'm thinking I'll use this day to get to the rides and shopping I didn't get to with all of the Mousefest meets.

There is a Haunted Mansion meet with Those Darn Cats (podcast) at 9am that if I wake up in time will plan to check out.

And that is the extent of my calendar until 2pm when I have an ADR for a late lunch at Chefs de France as part of my Candlelight Processional "dinner" package. Of course I've already decided what I'm eating. :lmao:

The French Menu $19.95

Soupe a l' oignon gratinee - Onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese

Croque monsieur et sa salade verte - classic French toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a green salad

Creme brulee - vanilla creme brulee and a madeleine

My Candlelight Processional narrator is Monique Coleman of High School Musical fame. I don't know anything about her but I'm sure it will be amazing. But I confess I was really hoping for Barney/Doogie Houser. :flower3:

I've never eaten at Chefs but have been on the outside looking in many a time. (Yeah, so, I was the nut pressing my nose up against the glass... so what? ;) ) It looks so warm and inviting. I can't wait!!

I'm looking forward to an afternoon in Epcot. Epcot is fast becoming my favorite place in "the World." I'm especially looking forward to the holidy storytellers in each pavilion! :santa:

Well the plans look quite light from a PTR perspective. I will have to fill in the blanks with lots of fun when I get to it in real life. I don't want to let you down!!

My last full day. And something I am REALLY looking forward to!

Disney's Yuletide Fantasy Backstage Tour
(description courtesy of AllEars)

Almost magically, Walt Disney World Resort transforms into a holiday headquarters complete with millions of sparking lights, larger-than-life Christmas trees and miles of garland. Guests take a behind the scenes peek at that magical transformation in Disney's Yuletide Fantasy, a three-hour journey into the holiday history of Walt Disney World Resort.

Guests take guided tours to theme parks and resort hotels, learning stories about the themes of the Yuletide decorations and how Disney elves transform the parks and hotels into an annual winter wonderland.

I have always dreamt of seeing WDW in its holiday glory and I am beyond excited about this tour! And I got a great deal with a AAA discount!! :thumbsup2

Otherwise, no plans between the tour and when I check in for a late ~9pm dinner at Jiko. Here again, know exactly what I want to order. The filet and mac and cheese, of course!! :)

I'm still having doubts about this trip but thinking about the plans I have in place I'm not sure I could bear to miss it!

I am so excited that you are taking the Yuletide Tour. :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3:  I really really really want to take this next year but haven't really heard much about it on the DIS from people who have taken it, so yeah it's completely selfish of me but I am really excited for you. :lmao:

Well then that clinches it. I will have to go and give you a very detailed (but not so detailed it spoils it) report!! :goodvibes

:wave2: Hi Christine! Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm too busy to read your report in it's entirety right now, and to be honest, I'm not clear if I already have already started it or not! But I'm subbing for after dinner when I'm curled up on the couch in front of the fire! :goodvibes

I know how we all love Disney mail. Since I was lucky enough to have also traveled to the World in October I was expecting the Magical Express mail and the vacation planning details mail where they suggest 3 weeks out that it is time to make my ADR's. :lmao: But what I wasn't expecting was a little envelope that looked a bit like a wedding invitation.

What could this be?

So, not a wedding invitation. Not a YOAMD prize. But still pretty cool. Mickey appreciates that I'm a passholder.

And that has certainly put some points on the "pro" side of my pro/con list for taking this upcoming trip. How can I let Mickey down? And I have an AP afterall....

Very cool! I love Disney mail! I wonder if I will get one when we activate our passes?

Gosh, where have I been? Just catching up...
Christine, your lessons learned list is AWESOME! I have been thinking along many of the same lines.
Your schedule looks fantastic, and I can't wait to hear about your Yuletide Tour experience. Way to go!

I feel special everytime I get disney mail!

I bet you will! Something to look forward to!

That is just lovely Disney mail! :goodvibes

Isn't it? Makes you think about an AP? You've got two trips planned afterall... have you thought about it?

Shiny, sparkly, red Mickey mail makes me want an annual pass more than ever!

It's a good investment (NOSuzeOrmon). ;)

Thanks. :goodvibes I'll keep pursuing the lessons learned until I get it right. Which I have to believe will be dozens and dozens of trips from now! ;) I'm REALLY looking forward to the Christmas backstage tour!

I feel special everytime I get disney mail!
Doesn't it just brighten your day? I can't even wait until I get in the house to open it. I have to tear into it right in the driveway!
