Yeah, that's the one we've been seeing. It's rumored as of right now. I'll be shocked if there's no discount on a package including resort stays. The whole point of these promotions Disney runs is to get people to stay on Disney property.

I don't mean to upset anyone, but since it does say MYW Package, ("When you purchase a package that includes a Base Ticket") doesn't that mean you have to do the MYW Package for this to apply?? Meaning, that it wouldn't apply to a room only? I may be confused on the whole thing?
I do have a MYW Package, with dining and hoppers, so I'm assuming it applies to us. I hope so anyway, but for clarification, if anyone knows, does it apply to a room only?

I too am hoping for "MORE" of a discount, because we wouldn't use the water park portion either way. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!!

When it says "when you buy a base ticket...", I think its safe to assume they mean as part of a package (i.e. including the room). My guess is though that they will release a room-only code along with these new package codes. I'm just guessing since that's what they have done in the past.


And is it just me...or does "free hopping and water parks" not sound like such a great deal? I mean, if there's a room discount, it would well be worth it, but we're only buying 2 Adult passes and we hadn't planned on doing the water parks (it's JANUARY!! ), so it would only save us about $70 really. Am I missing something??

I totally agree with you!! We wouldn'd do the water parks either way, and while we did book the hopping option, it wouldn't make me plan a trip if we weren't already going!!!

I had originally thought our savings would be more, but misread the amount of what the savings would be, as of now, it's less than $90.00, which is good, but not enough to make me plan a trip based on it!!!

So, I'm with you, I'm hoping it's more of a discount -- I'd really love the free dining, but, I'm not holding my breath they'll offer it again.

How do these deals work if you decide you want to stay more than 6 nights?

Do they add on the extra nights at the regular rate, or at the same reduced rate as the promotion is offering?

The 6 nights, and the 4-person family, are just used as examples for marketing purposes. You'll get comparable discounts for longer or shorter stays and fewer or more people.

I agree that the Park Hoppers and water parks for free is not much of a deal. I priced my MYW pkg without either anyways. I'm banking on the fact that they are "floating" further discounts on the package. These possible discounts are the only way I'll save a dime....

I think you would have to update the ticket to a non-expire one to use the water parks later. I think to upgrade it to a 10 MYW no expire with the same features it would be $114 per child and $116 extra per adult. This would give you 3 extra park days and 5 water park days to be used later. Thats what I think I will do if I get this discount for Jan trip. Then use the rest of the ticket for a warmer weather trip.

To my understanding you would have to purchase the non-expiring option even for the water parks option not to expire. It does seem silly to add that on to the tickets during the coldest part of the year.

OH LORD, the traffic is SOOO bad, I don't go anywhere towards Baton Rouge. I"m actually in Prairieville, but traffic on airline gets really bad!!! I went to target on Siegen the other day........ YIKES!!!! It was horrible.

I'm so excited about this trip - and then last night, I was up all night as well......... trying to figure out what the discount would be!!!! LOL

It's cool we'll be there at the same time, we will be at AKL, we actually might add a few more days, it depends on DH's schedule, he works for Entergy in N.O. so, he needs lots of pixie dust!!!! LOL, but if he can work it out, we may be there a little bit longer, and HOPEFULLY, if the discount is "good", it'll help in our staying longer --

We are actually driving, we have relatives in Daytona and will spend a day or two there. We also did the MYW package, with dining and hoppers. I know for certain we are eating at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Cindy's (for dinner on my B-day) DS is NOT into the princess thing....... LOL and we plan on Le Cellier, and WCC. Other than that....... I don't know yet about food..... I guess we better get on it, since we can make our ADR's on Halloween!!!! I guess other than that all of our planning is done, we've already paid for everything, and unless we decide to stay longer, we just need to get dining in order. I'm hoping that maybe the discount will be really good, and we can "do" more!!! DS really really really wants to stay concierge, but it's a little bit more pricey than I want to pay!!! He's 6 mind you, however, he's watched the AKL show that we DVR'd, and Samantha Brown has him convinced that concierge is the way to go!!!!! I'm sure it won't happen, but a girl can dream!!!


AS for LSU on saturday, they play......... ummmm, Auburn!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!! I'm sure we'll win, so I'll say "good game" to you now.......... LOL Hey, you know how us Tiger fans can be........... I actually wish I had tickets to the N.O. game, I'd love to be at the stadium when Saban comes back............ that would be cool!!!!
