Often used money-saving meal discontinued!

I just glanced at some of the menus on the allears.net.com website.

Was very disappointed to see that the Family Rotisserie Meal (3-4 people) for $15.99 at Cosmic Ray's is no longer listed on the menu! http://allearsnet.com/menu/men_cr.htm
This was a real money-saver for families and one that was often posted here as a budget tip! I'm hoping someone here will have been to Cosmic Ray's since the menu date of 12/04 and post that the Family Meal is still available! Or maybe the "1/2 Chicken and BBQ Rib Combination served with Mashed Potatoes and a seasonal vegetable $13.89" is large enough to feed 3-4--- anyone tried it?

Also, on the Cosmic Ray's menu above the children's meals it says: "For Mickey's Little Friends Only Please" What happened to anyone being able to order a children's meal at WDW counter service? This was also a frequent money saving tip passed around here on the budget board! I don't have a big appetite and sometimes don't want to split with another family member so I order the kids meal. BTW-how would they know who is actually eating the meal?

I'm afraid to look at the other menus on allears, wondering what else has changed.

They cannot stop you from ordering a kids meal. As long as I remember the kids meals have always said something to that extent. Not sure about the family rotisserie meal, it was still available in November when we were there, but our last two days Cosmic Ray's was partially shut down for rehab so I assumed some changes would happen.

I can also tell you for absolutely sure that at counter service restaurants ANYONE can order a child's meal and eat it in confidence and comfort! No one will ever question you.

Nope, they won't question you. We do this all the time.

The kids meals have said something like that at places for years. How do they know you don't have a kid waiting at a table. I just ignore it LOL! (McDonalds' also claims happy meals are just for kids, but they sell them to me!)

I consider myself one of "Mickey's little friends"! I don't understand this "Kid's meal thing". They don't give you any "more" food because you're an adult ordering or eating it! Right? This has never been an issue for me.

We order the kids meals too. We don't eat meat, and you can get mac & cheese at a lot of places (they don't offer an adult version of this). Also, we are trying to reduce the 'volume' of food we eat. The kids meals are just the right size for us. We also try splitting meals too. That helps, not only with money, but with calories!
