Hello! 2 friends and I are running our first Disneyland 5k in Sept! Looking for recommendations for offsite hotels.
Friend 1 may be bringing his wife and 1 year old along, so perhaps a room that has a separate living area so we can still hang out after his son falls asleep? Fridge and microwave would be a plus as well.
Friend 2 has a request of a nice pool (with a pool bar if possible, but not required).
We will have a vehicle, so it doesn't have to be within walking distance.
Thanks so much!!! :goodvibes

I've stayed at both the Fairfield Inn and Embassy Suites Anaheim. I've found both places pretty nice. We have never tried the pools at either hotel, though.

Fairfield Inn has rooms with kitchens and a separate bedroom. Embassy Suites has rooms with mini fridges in the living room area. I don't remember if they have microwaves or not.

Each hotel offers some kind of breakfast offering (hot/buffet style at Embassy Suites and continental style at Fairfield).

How long are you staying? I like to stay at the HOJO's myself to be within walking distance, but once when we went with the grandparents for 5 nights, we rented a house nearby. It was nice to have space to spread out for the kiddo. Depending on the length of your stay, it might work out to be the same of less $$ than a hotel.

We always stay at the Embassy Suites south. The living area does have a fridge and microwave. The room includes hot breakfast every morning. The pool does not have a bar.

There is also shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes that will pick you up right at the hotel and drop you off at the front gates. So much easier than parking your own car.

This is where we decided to stay for our anniversary trip. Was the shuttle good? Or was it packed when you wanted to go to the park and back again in the evening? Is it just for that hotel, or for several hotels in the area? I had sworn I was never going to take another shuttle. ;)

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Garden Grove. We really liked it and would go back. Free breakfast, free parking. But no fridge/microwave.

We've never had a problem getting on the shuttle...and we are a family of 6.

The shuttle always took us straight to the park, and straight back to the hotel without other stops too :thumbsup2

It has Kid Suites, with a separate room, 2 TV's, fridge and micro. It also has a shuttle to DL and a nice pool. Its a 5-10 min walk to DL if you don't want to wait for the shuttle.
