Officiant question

We've gone with Rev Kevin Knox because we really liked his sense of humour. He also has been brilliant to communicate with, and his wife Theresa too.

We are having Rev Jack Day (as soon as we send off Jack's Pak!) - I just liked the vibe I got from his website, and he was really lovely, warm and friendly when I emailed him.

I sent three emails...one to Rev. Jack, one to Rev. Tim, and one to Rev. Kevin.

Rev. Kevin responded almost immediately. He was very friendly and enthusiastic about our ceremony and helping us have the vows we wanted.

Rev. Tim responded about a week later with what seemed like a "form email." I wasn't impressed enough to switch.

I never heard back from Rev. Jack.

Since I had no preference to any of them, I figured the one who offered the best general customer service was the guy to go with. Obviously, in my situation, Rev. Kevin got that hands down.

He was wonderful to work with and performed our ceremony perfectly. He was warm and friendly and added just the right amount of charm and humor to our casual wedding.

I have to say I wasn't impressed with Rev Jack at all. He got all the details wrong and we didn't receive the pack. When I queried it he said it may have been the 500 weddings he had done that week or a senile moment that made him forget.

It didn't instill a lot of confidence in us for what he would have been like on our day.

We sent emails to Rev Jack, Rev Tim, Rev Kevin Knoxx, Rev Randall Miller and Rev Ron.

Rev Tim- Replied first and seemed nice

Rev Miller- Said we couldn't book him until 6 months before the date (i think it was 6 months)

Rev Kevin Knoxx- Addressed me with my wrong name! I ended my email saying, 'Rachel and Kevin' and he replied back, 'Dear Amanda and Kevin' and then a few hours later sent another email apologising and offered to knock $25 off the bill.

Rev Ron- Is the one we have chosen. Replied back with a sample ceremony, which i asked if i could change, he said wasn't a problem. His fee was a lot less than the others at $150.
I have seen a few preview videos of him in and love the fact that he learns everything off by heart, and i also like the fact he wears a suit and not a robe (god i sound really fussy!) lol

Rev Jack- Took a week and a half to reply, by this time we had already booked Rev Ron and sent his deposit.

We choose Rev. Tim Herring based on recommendations from current and former CM's and the fact that he performed the first Disney wedding (at Cindy's Castle), the 10,000, and has been filmed for some Disney Weddings on TV. (Inadvertently, our wedding became one of them! - who would've thought!?!)

Seriously, Rev. Tim was great! He made us feel like we knew him and he knew us personally (even though we only corresponded via email and met once prior to the rehearsal). He was very flexible, prompt, funny, sweet, and caring towards us. We couldn't be happier & wouldn't have wanted anyone else!

HTH!:goodvibes

We have decided to go with Ron Rosenzweig as we wanted a non-religious ceremony.

He has been fantastic so far. Very quick to respond, and I loved his ceremony choices. His fee is very reasonable as well.

We're going with Rev. Jack - he's been really good about emails, and I like the whole grandfatherly vibe he has. :goodvibes

We emailed Rev. Miller, but he sent back a really impersonal form letter and I wasn't impressed.

Ron Rosenzweig because he had no religious affiliations and wears a suit to the ceremony.

We are Presbyterian, so we chose Dr. Tino Ballesteros. He and his wife have been so helpful so far. They sent us several different types of ceremonies based on what we said we liked, and now we just have to pick and choose elements from them for our own. I've spoken with him on the phone once already, and he was really nice and had some nice suggestions for us. We had no idea where to start! Our wedding is still a few months away, but I'm feel very confident that we made a good choice with him!

We used Rev Jack Day and thought he was wonderful! He did everything we asked for and more. What a wonderful man. He truly made our day magical.

Rev. Day performed my wedding ceremony.
He was wonderful and improvised during the ceremony when the memorial candle was already lit. (We were suppose to light it after the unity candle.)
He was great to deal with but I did notice that I got faster responses when I called him then when I emailed him.

I wish that trip advisor covered officiants.

ps. Please take an hour or two and search these boards. You'll see the rankings, all of the good and the bad is out there, right here!

ps. PM if you want our opinion, happy to chat x x x

Thank you so much ladies for your wonderful help!!

Hopefully I get someone soon since everyone I request is taken :headache:

My fiance&I picked Ron Rosenzweig because he isn't w/any religion and seemed like the only guy that wasn't. :) Someone on the boards did a review of him in their long review of vendors and it was good, so I'm glad about that too. :)
