Does anyone know if Disney still does the character wake up calls? If so do I need to request that a character call, or simply a wake up call? TIA!

They did in December of 2016.

If I remember right, we just did it on the phone. You key it in.

Last minute trip, booked yesterday for the 19th - 23rd! Picked the dates based on whatever cheap flights were left and luckily got a 2BR suite at Bonnet Creek for $110 a night.

And with a morning arrival, we'll be heading to the Halloween party the day we get there

We'll be at MNSSHP on the 19th as well!

Hi all, hopefully I can ask my question here. I'll be going to Disney World at the end of September with my kids.
Does anyone know if the character display/icon on either the app or My Disney Experience website does anything aside from it just being a simple picture?
For example my daughter chose Cinderella and son chose Buzz Lightyear.
I remember hearing somewhere awhile back that you get stuff or stuff happens depending on which character you chose. Or am I completely wrong?

2 days!!! Today after kids activities, we pack! Watching the weather and I am not happy...now one day looks like it could be a complete washout.

We went to the Boathouse for lunch in March. It's costly, but very worth it. We shared a watermelon salad, 12 oysters and a lobster broil special they had. My DD(2) had a kids fried shrimp that she devoured. None of us is a huge eater so the sharing worked well for us three ladies. We definitely want to go back!

Thank you for the feedback! DH and I like sharing meals since they are usually such large portions. We love seafood.

It's definitely not the norm for us! We planned on skipping a vacation this year, but last minute reservations/time off all lined up so we're going for it

We're kinda the same way. Had decided not to do Disney this year since we're going on a Viking River cruise in France in October. But I found really cheap airfare and hubby said book it. Unfortunately we didn't get any discounts since those were all long gone. I was so sad to not have a Disney trip this year, so I'm just grateful to be going!!

I've looked at Bonnet Creek. Have you stayed there before? DH only likes to stay on property, but I think BCreek looks amazing. Wondering about the bus transportation and getting there from the airport. So spoiled with ME and Disney buses.

6 days to go and have been super excited until I saw Hurricane Irma looming in the Atlantic. I will be watching closely it's path closely this week!

Also watching Irma, not too worried but really don't want our MNSSHP party to be a washout. I can deal with a little rain, but party nights suck in the rain. We were down there at WDW for Hurricane Matthew last year. Would prefer not to repeat that!

The portions are very giving. The meal we shared was for two, and none of us could imagine eating that much with one other person.

They have so,e seating outside on the lake, it looked very nice!
