YAY!! We are officially booked for Christmas of 2013!! Arriving on December 22, and checking out January 3rd- booked online and could not have been any easier! Got 7 day park tickets to go with- now I just need suggestions on what loop we should request. Kids love to swim, so maybe something by the Meadows pool? We reserved a preferred site...

Preferred is 100 200 & 300. 300 is a pet loop. If you have a pet 300 it is. If not I suggest 200.

100 and 200 are close to the Marina and the Settlement and about a half mile to the pool and the Meadows....a long walk, but do-able.

I'm just wondering- should I request a full hook up instead of a preferred? Is there very much difference? We have a 39 foot motorhome, and would also like my 2 older boys (they'll be 11) to be able to put their tent up next to the motorhome to have their own "private" space from their little brother and sister... We are thinking of renting a golf cart-probably will- but the idea of being close enough to the pool to just walk there is very appealing, as well as being close to the campfire at night...1/2 mile seems a little long for walking every day-especially for my younger 2 kids. What does everyone think?

Can't recommend sites - we won't make our first Fort visit until next August (can't wait!) - but I'm jealous you will be there at Christmas. From what I've read and seen, it's an amazing time.

Are you bringing bikes at all? We plan on bringing ours to get around on.

You will have a bit more room in full for a tent. 1600 1700 1800 1900 are full. my preference in order 1800 1600 by canal 1700 1900.

We are going for a full hookup. We have two grown girls and one 1 year old granddaughter. We always enjoyed staying in the full hookup 16,17,18 and 1900 loops because they are close to pool and front of park also because they were the pet loop. I just made my reservation last night and there were all 4 types of sites available

The full have sandpads in the back half of the site for setting up a tent or screen house. The prem. and preferred are full pads without a clear place for tents in most site.
