Worth it? That is a very dangerous thing to ask as there are as many different opinions as there are posters. I thought it was great and would do again, while my wife thought it was nice but not a must do again.

Is it "worth it", probably not - but I'm going to do it again anyway! the desserts were good, but you are correct, its not like you're going to eat $25.00 worth
SO WHY GO BACK THEN? Its the sum of all the parts - I can't describe it other than its something "special" for my family to do -

Thanks so much for the replies, guys. :) You sold me. Just the kind of answers I was hoping for (sincerely)...not worth it from a dollars and cents analysis, but worth it because it's something unique... Sounds like some Disney magic at work.

looking forward to booking this for May. Tried earlier this AM but was told that it wasn't in the system yet and to try back later today or tomorrow. Kepping my fingers crossed.

I was so hoping this would come back. I was looking for something special to surpirse my family with and this hoepfully will be it. I have to call anyway about something else so I will ask. I am really wishing!:wizard:

Yes they will stand around the railing to get a better view. If everyone would sit in their seats and watch, everyone would be able to see.

When I went in August, the CMs did try to tell everyone that they couldn't stand around the railing but it was moot point. They did what they wanted anyways. We were sitting further down the end so when they tried to stand in front of us, we politely asked them to move to the side.
Interesting. Before this dessert party existed many people watched from this location. We watched Wishes from this location countless times and we never had any problems or issues. Everyone were polite, just pulled up a seat and watched Wishes. I guess it draws a new crowd now that it is a dessert party location who are overloaded on sugar.

I guess you mean the crowd that was cursing and throwing chairs at the CM when the roped of this space for paying guests? :lmao:

Called DVC member services they called Tomorrowland Station and it is definitely starting on the 28th with no end date. Still can't make ressies. He told me to call in a couple of weeks.:scared1: Is he for real?!!!:lmao:

That is interesting. When we were there in August, most people stood at the rail, but it was fine, as there was plenty of room there. CM's never told anyone not to stand there. We did and they didn't speak to us. Our table was quite far back and I'm pretty sure our view would have been blocked by the roof if we stayed at our table. I knew about this ahead of time, and was told that standing at the rail during the fireworks is the general practice.

However, they were very clear about not letting anyone pull chairs up to the rail. Several folks started to do this, but were immediately told to please not do this. They all moved their chars back immediately. No one disobeyed.

Your table is assigned to your party and your name is on it before you even arrive, so there is no mad rush to get to the best tables.

You are so right. :thumbsup2 I should have been more clearer. You could not sit at the railing with the chair but you could stand at the railing.

I keep seeing reports of rudeness, chaos, and bad food, but when we went last August it was absolutely 100% worth it and awesome. For what it's worth, it was only $18 each and it was just the 2 of us. Tables were pre-assigned so there was no fighting over tables. Everyone was told upon entering that at 5 minutes til Wishes you were allowed to go to the rail and everyone followed that rule. At 5 minutes til, we moved to the rail and had plenty of elbow room for the whole show. Although, we could have seen nearly everything from our table in the front row. There was a large buffet with a large variety of yummy desserts and drinks.

I'm not sure at $23 each now that we would do it again, but it was magical and something I'm very happy to have done.

So this is starting back up on May 28th? Sorry if I missed that, but was wondering if it will be offered for my trip in May.

I called this evening, we are going to be there a week from Fri, the CM said to keep calling back, they should at least have it in the system by the 28th!:rolleyes1

Could be another case of CM's not knowing, but I just got off the phone and after being put on hold for 20+ minutes, he came back and said that yes, the Wishes dessert party was starting again on the 28th, but was only available to Grand Gatherings....did anyone else hear this?

Yes, I was on hold this morning for about 40 minutes while the CM looked for the information. She finally came back and said it was for "Grand Gatherings" only. She said to check back again another day and see if they open it up to everyone. It seems like a rotten thing to do :(

I emailed BC IPO and they told me it was definitely starting on the 28th but that they didn't have all the dates yet. They took our preferred dates and put us on a list to make an ADR as soon as they open us.

She didn't say it was a GG event at all - just that she had confirmed it would be back up on the 28th.

How far in advance can you book? I was assuming it would be like other adrs (180 days). Anybody know?:confused3

Thanks for the clarification about assigned tables. I had horrible images of people making a mad dash for the front tables. I might just consider if the tables are pre assigned then. :thumbsup2
