Buses at CR were horrible. Got in line at 3:40. Bus didn't show up until 4:30. About 200 people waiting. Just heard in our coral that there are still buses trying to get here. It's 5:42 race has started..... not good.

Good luck to everyone doing the 1/2 today!! I'm on MDE headed home. This was my first Run Disney race (just the 10k for me). I had such an amazing time and it was so incredibly fun. I will be back. I was running solo and everyone was so nice and mom came with me for a fun mother daughter trip. Seems like the weather cooperated this year too. A huge thank you to all the nice people here who provided advice, info, and answered newbie questions.

I finished more of the half than I expected. I called it at medical tent #3 (the one after the 10K mark) as I was starting to feel it in my right foot (the one that had been injured recently) Got it iced and waited. As there was a hard sweep point at that intersection - they had those of us not there for true emergencies wait for the "Parade Bus" to be taken to the end of the race. No challenge medal but hey! I got further than I planned and I got some great photos in Animal Kingdom! There is my win. I'm sure I made some people upset on the sweep bus as I was that annoying cheery person and you could tell there were some very disappointed people on that bus.

When you don't live in Florida and not used to this humidity or temperatures - please remember to hydrate and electrolytes! I felt so bad for the two women I saw that were dizzy and almost passing out at the tent.

I made it! My friend pulled herself at mile 7 so just waiting for her to get here. Only stopped for the bathroom and sunblock in an and for some quick pictures I took of stuff.

The first half was great and fun then it lagged a bit the last half. I'm happy with how I did, started slow and at the pace I wanted and was able to speed up a bit and finish the last three strong. My watch had 308 and 13.58 miles from all the weaving. I'm glad I did it and I understand why people keep doing them.

Done! Those conditions were no joke.

Highlights were definitely seeing the sunrise in Animal Kingdom and Darkwing Duck/Launchpad McQuack!!

Low point - Bear Island Road. Was hoping for more entertainment/characters along that stretch.

I can't believe that 11 months ago I set a goal to run the W&D half! Today I challenged myself and did just that. Thanks to all the support/advice and friendly DISers. I saw quite a few familiar faces. Safe travels home to you all!

Congratulations to everyone who was out there today - both those who finished, and those who started and gave it their best before fate intervened.

My lesson of the day? Costumes with sequence are for shorter races and not a half! I have some rather painful scratches

When I was getting on the shuttle to ESPN from Epcot, the balloon ladies were right in front of me in line. So of course I said, "Oh no! I'm already behind the balloon ladies!" They were really nice and said not to worry because it was the only time I would see them today! And then our shuttle driver clearly had no idea where we were going and almost didn't let us off at ESPN.

That race was TOUGH. I was ok while the sun was still down, but as soon as it came up it was brutal. Got a pretty nasty sunburn and I'm still overheated. I stopped for most of the characters (Darkwing Duck!!), but it seemed like the lines got a lot shorter towards the end because people just didn't want to stop.

I'm planning to head to MK at some point today to get pics with my runDisney medals from the 5 races I did in front of the castle, but my neck already hurts thinking about it (these medals are big!).

And bus situation was perfect yesterday and today at the Poly...Friday was a little dicey for the 5K. I saw buses still arriving when I was in my corral this morning as the race was about to start.

Not sure why runDisney still cannot figure out transportation...there seem to be horror stories from every race weekend.

Padisneycouple. I asked several poor ladies in boots this weekend if they were on the disboards, but I never did get to say hi. One lady said, "what is the disboards, several people have asked me". Haha.

I'm wondering around Epcot by myself tonight if anyone is around and wants to say hi.
