bummer sorry to hear that! check with any local gamestops/gamecrazy's midday espically tuesdays...aas those are their big shippment days, and thier shipments come ups about midday most of the time.

Good luck!

ok well my aunt is intown from spain because of a death in family, i know sad, but they celebreate three kings day over there so i was trying to get her the same stuff as at home, so i baked the 3 kings bread and we put stuff in our stockings and we did a low key gift exchange (cuz i had already blown the budget for xmas..lol) so i t was kool and her and my mom both brought me some wii games.

I got golden compass from my aunt and monster 4x4 world circuit from my mom, it has a steering wheel included, (we have 2 know since i had bought one) and i tried them both today and they seem fun. golden compass is a little slow cuz you have to read along with what you are doing but i got thru the first task..lol (that is a lot to say for me..lol) and the monster truck loks a lot of fun, we did some of the quick racing but i will have to start the circuit for me later on today.

I am stil on the hunt for gh3 altho to be honest i am not looking for it, i figure if i stunble accross it ill buy it..lol.

Thanks for the info!!! I personally don't like Monster 4x4 all that much but It's because I don't like the way you hold the controler...It puts my wrist at an unatural angle.

I would like to know more about Golden Compass...would you be willing to write us a mini review when you get to play it more...give it a score of 1-10(10 best) and the reasons why you like it or not?

Thanks

And in the same vein--always read the game instructions cuz 9 out of 10 times it'll answer the easy questions (like maybe the DDR question above?)

Our game only came with a one page instruction form. I would have expected it to come with a booklet.

Inside the box that the disk is in there is a little booklet just like all the other games. Teh one page was in the box the mat was in.

Anyway, I don't remember anything about user profiles except in the workout mode where you put in your name and weight and things and it tracks that type of thing. I don't know about any other profiles or profiles that keep track of what songs you do well or poorly on. There's nothing about it in the book and we haven't stumbled across it in the game yet. DD15 has played quite a bit so I think she would have found this already if it was there. I'm thinking the only profile is workout mode.

Somebody else correct me if I've got it wrong.

WEEEE!!! Or, should I say, WIIIII!! My card was charged for the wii I purchased from sears.com on Friday. I was nervous that they'd cancel my order saying they oversold or something. This is a good sign though, right? Estimated delivery is Tuesday.

IN other Guitar Hero news...
RUMOR
There will be 4 new Guitar Hero games this year(08)
-Guitar Hero 4
-Guitar Hero:Aerosmith
-PLug to others(no word on what though..perhaps a classic???)

I know those are rumors but all of that would be great. One can never have enough Guitar Heroes ;)
BUT the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was very totally cool. My poor son will never get his guitar hero back

How do you save the game --- I won all 4 mini games, but cannot figure out how to save. When I try to exit, it tells me that I will lose all that has not saved. Please help

Thanks, I will try that! This tuesday I don't have to be at work until 11:30a.m. and my mom works in the same mall they are in, so maybe I can have her check for me too! I hope I will be able to get one by the end of this month or at least the first part of Feb. If I can't get one from Game Stop, I will just keep checking the sunday add's.

One more question. Wii Fit....any news on a release date or if any stores are doing presales?

Ok, 2 more questions. I remembered another one. Is there a list anywhere of the songs that come with guitar hero 3?

My DD was getting a little fustrated with Hannah Montana game @ 1st but boy she finished the whole disc yesterday!!! :woohoo:

My DS is having a problem moving sims in. He was going to move someone in and decided to change to a different one and now it won't let him move anyone in. Has anyone had this problem? How do you fix it?

There's nothing wrong with your kid liking NCAA...Espically OHIO STATE!

FIFA is of course the world soccer leage....Many times you will see games released on the 360/ps3 at the same time because they are developed alot alike...the wii with it's motion sensitivity is a whole other can of worms to program for.

As for why we have seen so few NCAA games (up until now)...The gamecueb had a ver small userbase...it was mostly played by adults(who grew up with nintendo) or children. the main target of the NCAA games is College students...Therefore the sales of NCAA football and basketball we're very low on the system. As it is now they sales of NCAA on 360/the playstation platforms is HALF of what Madden is. I too would love to get my hands on a new NCAA football game, however until Ea thinks(or see's) that the Wii's user base will buy it, we may be out of luck.

back to the 360/ps2/ps3 debate....If you do look for a 360 anytime soon...look on the side of the box for it to say 175w(by the white label) this mean it has the new Falcon Graphic Processing chip and enhanced cooling fan...it's less likely to have the RROD. I might also suggest putting in the extra cash for the return plan for where ever you buy it so you can just walk back to the store if somethign happens.....Your reasons for being iffy are the same as mine...but I may finally be taking the plunge.

That said...once Smash Brothers Brawl launches in another months nothign else is gonna get played anyway!

You know what doesn't make any sense, is that a few of the NCAA Bowl games gave the players a Wii and they couldn't even play NCAA football on them! I would think they would want the players playing NCAA rather than NFL.

My kids like NCAA football and basketball and then they also want to play all the soccer games, FIFA, World Cup, and UEFA (which is not avail. for Wii but I see where Pro Evolution will be this year).

Nintendo Wiis, tech gifts top 2007's best bowl prizes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Heather Dinich
ESPN.com
They shopped. They splurged. The annual quest by bowl officials to show-up one another and in some cases, raise the profile of their games with the hottest, latest tech toys for each player has been all wrapped up.

These aren't stocking stuffers, folks.

The Nintendo Wii is the hot gift this bowl season.

"Ours kick butt," Mark Neville, a spokesman for the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia and Pacific Life Holiday bowls, said with a laugh, reveling in the fact the Holiday Bowl was one of three able to track down the coveted Nintendo Wii with two remote controls ($345).

But nobody else is getting the iPod Touch, pointed out Mark Wallington, of the Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl. According to him, "it's the coolest thing in America."

Unless you're one of the four teams playing in Orlando.

Florida, Michigan, Boston College and Michigan State get to pick whatever the heck they want in a Best Buy shopping spree arranged by Florida Citrus Sports, which hosts the Champs Sports and Capital One bowls.

You can't put a price tag on the national title, though, and in addition to their shot at one, LSU and Ohio State will also receive a Nintendo Wii package, complete with four games.

Although not everyone was lucky enough to get the Wii, there are enough other gadgets and gizmos going around to re-stock the Best Buy Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow gets to raid.

In case anyone from UConn or Wake Forest gets lost while driving 140 mph in circles at the Lowe's Motor Speedway, the Meineke Car Care Bowl is providing them with a Garmin navigation system.

Hungry? The Insight Bowl has a Frito Lay Snack Pack waiting -- with an Xbox 360, of course.

Mum's the word at the AT&T Cotton Bowl headquarters, where president Rick Baker has a long-standing policy of keeping the gifts a secret until they're in the players' hands.

Bowls are allowed to spend $500 on each player (the NCAA increased it from $350 in 2005). There's usually one particularly pricey gizmo, complimented by a few more traditional (read you-can't-play-with-it-so-store-it-until-you-have-grandkids-to-show) gifts.

Here's a look at who else got the Wii, who got the boot (literally) and how the bowl competition fared off the field:

The Best Gift Ever: The Champs Sports Bowl and the Capital One Bowl are letting all four teams loose in Best Buy (not at the same time, of course) with a $400 gift certificate for each player to get whatever he wants. Won't fit on the plane home? Not a problem. They'll mail it. And Tebow, the Heisman Trophy winner, doesn't even have to worry about roaming the aisles while Florida fans gawk at him and mob him for autographs. The Gators and Michigan will be there before the store opens. Boston College and Michigan State will actually have to mingle with the customers one evening because of their practice schedules.

Top shelf: The Nintendo Wii. Only three bowls -- the Holiday, Allstate BCS National Championship and Valero Alamo -- were each able to snag about 250 of these. Unless you're camping out at Toys 'R' Us, waiting for the shipment to come in, good luck getting one of your own.

I read a rumor where NCAA football may be released for the Wii in 09, think that the giving the Wii's as gifts might have had something to do with it?

Now... GO BUCKS!

Usually if it makes it to a rumor, it's true. I would love to see all you moms jamming out to Aerosmith! :thumbsup2

It automatically saves after you beat the minigames. I think it saves after each one, but I'm sure it says in the intruction booklet. You'll find this with a lot of Wii games--it'll automatically save without even telling you.
One more question. Wii Fit....any news on a release date or if any stores are doing presales?

Ok, 2 more questions. I remembered another one. Is there a list anywhere of the songs that come with guitar hero 3?

Yes, the latest is that it won't be released until May. The rumor is that GameStop will start presells in April.

Yes, I'm sure if you google it you can find the song list--it's probably on IGN somewhere too. I'll see if I can find it.

My DS is having a problem moving sims in. He was going to move someone in and decided to change to a different one and now it won't let him move anyone in. Has anyone had this problem? How do you fix it?

I have no idea. Hopefully someone can help! :(

That would be great!

ESPN has a poll up about who will win the game. Ohio is the only state voting in majority for OSU. :thumbsup2 And I like it that way!

Go Bucks!!

I just saw online that GameStop is taking pre-orders for NCAA football 09 for the Wii, release date 7/15/08! :yay:

I don't think this will end our family discussion of buying another system but at least it'll prolong it longer so we can save up for it. And then in a few months we'll know how the newer 360 is fairing with the overheating issues.

If this isn't answered by tonight, I'll ask my DS and see if he knows. He loves this game.

Although lately both boys have been playing Star Wars as much as they can.
