I can't believe that some TRU's had so few copies of Mario!! I'm so sorry to all of you who haven't gotten the deal yet, but I say keep trying. When I was at TRU we got shipments of games every day, so there is a good chance they'll have some before they run out of gift cards. What terrible planning on their part.
So I've played the game for a few hours now and I can honestly say it is by far the BEST Wii game yet. I think kids as young as 6 (younger if they are already gamers) will be able to play and enjoy this game. It's just soo much fun.
On another note I have problems watching DH play the game (it make me queesy) but no problems at all playing myself.
So if you haven't already done so, BUY MARIO GALAXY!!
Yes!! Next week TRU is having it's buy 2 get 1 free sale AGAIN!!! It's only good for Wii games and I bet most stores will seel out of the popular games quickly. DH has more details. I don't think the sale starts until Black Friday, but I could be wrong.
I'm really big about giving kids only one or two games at a time. Otherwise one or more games will be ignored. You'll have Wii Sports and I suggest you pick up Wii Play for the 2nd remote. I would definitely get Mario Galaxy for those ages. I added a big list of recommendations to the first post of the thread, so read that for more ideas! Or come back and give me a little more specifics.
I only recommend the Nyko charger. It's the one I have and we love it. You cannot charge the controllers with the guard on though. We leave them off, but you can pull them off to charge.
I really like having the charger for the wii-motes as opposed to regular rechargeables. We have those too, but it's so much easier to just grab your wii-mote from the charger than fussing with the other batteries. You always know you're ready to go that way.

Yes, but they are usually very hard to find. I would try Gamestop. Is it possible to buy a second game pad for DDR?
Does anyone know of any other great deals for Wii games other than Mario Galaxy? Will TRU have another buy 2 get one free or any other store before Christmas?

I got a Wii for my 3 kids for Christmas from Santa. How many games should I get for 3 kiddies? (ages 6,8,11)

Do you have any recommendations for battery charging units? There are several on the market. To my knowledge, none are made by Nintendo. Is one better than another? I've also seen rechargable battery packs that just plug into the wall and then are put into the controller.
ETA: Would I be better off just getting regular rechargeable batteries? Again -- what mAh should I buy?

Yes, it's okay. It didn't get great reviews, most people liked the golf in Wii Sports more. If you paid more than $40 I would return it and buy Tiger Woods. It's the only golf game worth buying IMO. If you can't return it, don't worry about it, I'm sure your kids will enjoy it.Has anyone played Super Swing Golf? It looked interesting so I picked it up for my DS11 & DD6.
