Does anyone know of any other great deals for Wii games other than Mario Galaxy? Will TRU have another buy 2 get one free or any other store before Christmas?

I got one at lunchtime. Two people in front of me in line and five after me. No problems at all. Good luck everyone!

No such luck here!:sad2:

My store says they didn't even get enough in for their presales and that they won't release them to the general public until they fullfill their presales.

On top of that they can't even tell me if they are going to get anymore in the rest of the week?? I just have to call back everyday and they don't know if they will even get anymore in??? That is before the sale period runs with the $25 GC promo.
Soooo, if they don't get anymore in or enough to fill their presales by Saturday then I won't be able to get in on the gift card. I'm really dissappointed but will be calling everyday I guess and hoping for the best.

I was able to get one lunchtime. They said they had 10 left when I got on line, and was worried they would sell out by the time I got to the register, but I managed to get one of the last few.

I got a Wii for my 3 kids for Christmas from Santa. How many games should I get for 3 kiddies? (ages 6,8,11)

The bad news: I waited at our local store for about two hours to see if the truck came in w/Mario Galaxy. I finally got tired of waiting and left. I might try later this evening to see if they had any extras.

The good news: While there I was able to purchase the WII ! I didn't have one yet and was just going to get the game and hope to find the system later. They actual got about 35 in and were going to sell 20 this week and 15 next week.

No luck on the Wii so far. :(

Monday I went to TRU and the employee told me they received 9 on Sunday and sold 9 on Sunday. He said that maybe they'd be getting some in this upcoming Sunday and if they did it would only be 3.

He also said that he knew in advance they'd be getting the 9 but he was really unsure about this Sunday or future Sundays. He seemed to think that the shipments would be getting smaller and less often.

DH & I have been to every Wal-mart, Meijer and Target within an hours drive and nothing. Not even a hint as to when they may be getting any shipments.

I think we'll start trying the Game Stops and see if we have any luck there. Funny thing is my BIL was at a Wal-mart last week, before he knew we were looking for a Wii, and they had 8 in stock.

I was able to get Mario Galaxy. I was one of 10 lucky customers who were in line @ 5. woohoo:

It's so funny how availability comes and goes. My dh went to Target this past Sunday morning and they sold the last one as he walked into the Electronics Dept. They checked stock at other Targets, and one a few miles away had 7. He high-tailed it there and managed to get one of the last 3. The other two sold before he left the dept.

So everyone, keep trying! You never know when they'll appear!!

And we didn't save ours for Christmas ... we couldn't stand to wait. And it is so much FUN!! :thumbsup2

I sent DH to our local TRU last night after work and he was able to get Mario and the gift card with no problem, woo hoo!

We need to buy a second nunchuck and the Pokemon game with the gift card, and we are done shopping for the kids, except for stocking stuffers. Yippee!

When it rains, it pours...I was at Costco last night and they finally had some of the WII bundles in stock. I went ahead and bought one since it already included the extra controllers. I haven't really researched it to see how it compared to other bundles. We have a friend that was looking who I'm sure will want whichever one we don't keep. Now I just need to try for the Mario game again.

My nieghbor tells me last night that they want a wii for their grandson and well i have already goten two of them for friends, i toldl them id keep an eye out. So i get home and start calling and hit a second gamestop and when i called they had one left, so i call her and we high tail it and we got the last one. I guess you guys are right, is just a matter or keeping calling everybody.

Shoot, how much was it? Last year when I bought a DS at Costco it was the same price as Toys R Us but came with extra accessories. I'm guessing you got the same type of deal.

Do you have any recommendations for battery charging units? There are several on the market. To my knowledge, none are made by Nintendo. Is one better than another? I've also seen rechargable battery packs that just plug into the wall and then are put into the controller.

Is there anything special I need to look for when comparing the units? What mAh do I want to maximize results? Is there a minimum and maximum I should be looking for?

I think this is the last Wii item I need for Christmas.

TIA!

ETA: Would I be better off just getting regular rechargeable batteries? Again -- what mAh should I buy?

Has anyone played Super Swing Golf? It looked interesting so I picked it up for my DS11 & DD6.

Definitely try the gamestops...it's worked out great for us and several of our friends, and we live in a pretty populated area where Wii's are always sold out at Target, TRU, Walmart, etc. It was no problem getting it at Gamestop, you just have to keep calling everyday...good luck!

It was $344 and came with the console, an extra nunchuck, an extra remote controller, and the Big Brain Academy game. I'm not sure if there's anything else as I grabbed it, went thru the check-out, and threw it in the trunk. I really don't think there was much of a savings.
