Are you guys sure we're talking about the same thing here? The WII ZAPPER. NOT the wii blaster. I saw the wii zapper out of the box and its not that bulky at all. Sure its a little big, but it has to be in order to fit the wiimote and the nunchuck on it. As for the gun Nyko is releasing, does it hold both the wiimote and nunchuck? Something tells me it just holds the wiimote and thats it. I just found out from my sister they love the wii zapper. They dont have any problems with theirs whats so ever. maybe your settings on your wii is off.

Yes, I know the difference. Both of them are big and blucky, but the blaster definitely is worse than the Zapper. The zapper is made by Nintendo the blaster is not. The zapper is fine for Link's crossbow training, but it's not fast enough for Resident Evil. I need something fast for true shooters.

No the new Nyko gun does not house the nunchuck in the plastic. It connects to the Wii mote and is independent from the gun piece. It's why it works for me so much better--it's not as bulky to have to hold the nunchuck. Also the connection to the wiimote has a very nice spring that allows for very quick firing, which the wii zapper does not have.

Just letting you know you do not have to buy wii point cards. You can very simply just go under the wii shop channel and purchase your points right on there. You pay with a debit or credit card. This is how we buy our points instead of having to run out and buy the cards. This is also good if you dont have the points and theres a game you want to download. You just simply buy the points on the wii shop channel and they instantly show up on your account.

We only buy points cards when they are on sale, so its cheaper than buying right from the site, plus I feel weird about putting my credit card over the wireless for some reason. But this is definitely a good option, especially for your first few purchases.

Oh please oh please let Rock Band come out for Wii. I know we would have a blast with it.

I can't imagine they wouldn't do it, but it's going to be a while.

Question about wii zapper -
Can you leave the gloves on the wiimote and nunchuck or do you have to take them off? And also, does it support the Nyko Rechargable Battery cover or just the regular battery cover that comes with the wiimote?

The nintendo gloves? No you'll have to take them off I think. The wiimote fits in pretty snugly. If you have one of the tighter skins it might work, but I don't think so.

Yes you can use the Nyko charger back with it...you can use that for everything--the zapper--the guitar--the stupid tennis, golf attachments.

It was supposed to come out yesterday here in the US, but got pushed back. It is already out in Japan though. The new release date for wii fit is now May 20th, however that can change, and hoping it will be sooner.

The newest thing I've heard is that it won't be out here until May! Isn't that nuts!?

As it's already been released in Japan, I hope that's not true. But I think a big indicator is that none of the stores are preselling it, which means the date really hasn't been determined at all at this point.

A manager at GameStop said the rumor going around was they would begin to pre sell it in April, so that would point to a May release.

DH just bought a 360 (like 5 minutes ago) so I'm going to have way too many new games to play, so May is cool for me.

I will definitely let you all know as soon as I here something.

A 360?!! Do yourselves a favor, and take it back to the store where it came from before even taking it out of the box. Xbox has and always will be JUNK. Why waste your money on that system? Theres so many problems with that system, I wouldnt be surprised by the end of this yr I hear that you all got rid of it or it caught on fire, which ever comes 1st. Take it back to the store and use that money to buy a PS3 if you dont have one yet. If you do, well, use that money for some new games and/or accessories for the ps3 and wii.

Please trust me that we've done our homework and did not take this purchase lightly. We are well aware of the hardware issues and with how crappy of a company Microsoft is. Seriously, we are Microsoft Haters. I mean, come on, at least 1/3 of the systems are going down to the red rings of death and the first solution is to just glue the heck out of the chip? I hope those issues have been solved in this new generation of systems with the Falcon chip and other cooling changes...but we did buy the store's warranty too, just to not have to deal with Microsoft for the next 3 years.

There is not one game that I am interested in on the PS3 except Metal Gear and that won't get me to buy it. Sony really, really lost me this generation. I'm so POd at them for trying to force their over priced Blu-ray players. I was a HUGE PS2 fan, but I will likely never buy a PS3 (tho, I did say the same thing about the 360).

There are a bunch of Xbox games we want and will borrow from friends. Plus DH really wants Too Human (if it ever comes out).

I know there arent many good games for the PS3 right now, but give them the chance. They will. I LOVED Heavenly Sword, it was a short game, I beat it I think in 15 hrs maybe 20 hrs, but it was really hard and VERY good! Ratchet and Clank is another good one. I dont have it yet (its on my christmas wish list for DH to get me when he comes home this month), but did play the demo that I downloaded and LOVED it. I hear Assains Creed is pretty good, I got that for DH for christmas. I also downloaded the demo for Uncharted. That game is REALLY good but very hard, even just for a demo, I got that one for DH for christmas as well. Burnout Paradise is another great demo I downloaded. That comes out at the end of the month and another game on my christmas wish list. But then again, Ive always loved the burnout games. While there might not be any games you might not like right now, Im sure in time there will be. Such as Kingdom Hearts 3. That will be on the PS3 (and maybe Wii) and should be released in the next 2 or 3 yrs. But for now, you could still get it, and as long as you have a 1081i TV, you can get blu-ray movies if you dont have a blu-ray player. Oh yeah, and they arent over priced blu-ray players at all. If you were to get a just a blu-ray player, it will be costing you around the same price as a PS3 if not more. Just be sure to get a 60GB if you ever do decide to get one, that way you know for sure all your PS2 games will play, straight out of the box, so you dont have to download any software just to play your PS2 games.

And I didn't mean that it was just an expensive blu ray player--I mean that blu ray is too expensive. One of Sony's primary strategies with the PS3 is the stupid Bluray. That's why it's cheaper than other Bluray players, they want to get them into people's homes.

So in 3 years, if KH3 is only available on the PS3 and Blu-ray has won the next gen DVD wars and if it's cheap enough, I might consider a PS3...but I doubt it. Oh and Final Fantasy---I'm a big fan of the games, so that could sway me.

I dont think blu-ray is stupid at all. I LOVE blu-ray. Thats all we buy now unless its a movie that only comes out on HD-DVD and regular dvd, and then we get the regular dvd since we dont have a hd-dvd player yet. We are also buying blu-ray movies we have on regular dvd right now, cuz eventually we want everything either on HD-DVD or Blu-ray. Perferably blu-ray. And then the movies we have, once we buy the blu-ray version, we take them to moviestop and trade them in for cash. DH and I do wanna get a hd-dvd/blu-ray player sometime soon though, so that we can get hd-dvds when the movie only comes out on hd-dvd and regular dvd and so we can stop using our ps3 as a blu-ray player as well. I just got the Harry Potter blu-ray set last month and watched all 5 movies, and in each one, I heard and saw things that I never have before on regular dvd. The sounds is clearer, the picture is very clear. Something tells me blu-ray will win the next-gen dvd wars. You go into my best buy, and while a movie might come out on all 3 formats, regular dvd, hd-dvd and blu-ray, blu-rays are always the ones to sell out 1st. Its gotten so bad at my best buy, if you arent there to get the movie on blu-ray the day it comes out, you are out of luck getting it at best buy, until the next shipment comes in. Just to go show you, how popular blu-ray really is. As for final fantasy, final fantasy 13 will only be for the PS3 and its supposed to be released sometime this year.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I think HD/Blu-ray is great, but I think it's terribly annoying to have two different technologies with the companies spliting who uses what. I'm waiting to see who wins or at least until the players are cheaper.

But I'm the person who has a great brand new HDTV with no HD channels or a HD DVD/Blu-ray player.

The tech isn't SOOOO much better to be worth the extra cost to me at this time. Plus our best friend has all the tech stuff, so we just go to him if we really care for some reason (like football games).

And I knew that about FF, tho I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the PS2 which would defeat the purpose. Like I said, one or two games in the future can't sway me from getting something I want right now at a much more reasonable price. For now...

Oh I know what you mean! I hate the fact that Paramount Movies dont do blu-ray only regular dvd and HD-DVD. I think its so stupid on their part and they are loosing money because of it. Most people have either regular dvd and/or blu-ray players. Not to many people have a HD-DVD player. So them releasing movies just on regular DVD and HD-DVD, those who have blu-ray, like me for example, will either not buy the movie at all or will buy it but on regular DVD. So instead of them getting $30 of my money, they are only getting $14 - $20 of my money. I think there should just be blu-ray and regular DVD and thats it. Why on earth do we need HD-DVD to is beyond me. If your gonna get HD-DVD, you minds of well go after blu-ray. Its usually only a couple dollars more for the movies, sometimes even the same price as blu-ray and the quality is better. Oh yeah dont hold your breath any about FF13 coming out on PS2 as well, cuz its not. Only PS3. Thats been confirmed a long time ago by Sqaure-Enix and Sony. I know you know that already, im just telling others who might read this post, dont expect FF13 to be on PS2 as well, cuz you will just end up getting your hopes up.
