I didn't get a chance to read why, glad it wasn't a forced removal.

You bring up a fantastic point. I think a lot of folks - especially on FB - lose sight of the fact that someone works pretty hard at designing the medals & all that is posted is a bunch of negativity. I may just have to use post your quote on that! (crediting you of course)

Unless you are thinking of some crazy spicy meal you should be fine! I do like to save my favorite for Sunday night though so I can enjoy a yummy German beer.

It really depends but I would offer that Sunday or Monday night would be a better night. The night prior to the race you want to eat a light and balanced meal that will not sit on the stomach. If your favorite meal adds a drink or two you would want to not partake the night prior. If this is your first marathon, you may be out of sorts marathon night. Most folks are famished by mid afternoon and then ready for bed earlier than normal. We have always tried to have a nice celebration meal on Sunday night but have bailed when the day did not go well.

Not sure this helps but I would pick either Monday or Sunday (probably in that order) and definitely forgo Saturday

DH requested I make his celebration dinner for Monday night. I chose Narcoosees since we've never eaten there. He's running Sat and Sun so he just wanted early ADRs at the resort for light meals Fri and Sat nights (he checked out all the menus to make sure there was something he wanted). He didn't want any ADRs for Sun, said he'll want to wing it and see how he feels. He has run 2 marathons, 2 tris and a 1/2 ironman and this is what works for him - but we're mid 50s, so younger runners might handle more lol. Best of Luck!!

Ack! Gotta sign up for the 5K. I've been back and forth on it, but seeing the cover photo on Facebook pushed me over the edge...all of the classics on the medallion (at least I'm assuming as much, based on the cover photo)?! Swoon!

Kind of incredible.... This is the first year since maybe 1999 or 2000 where the full will fill before the half. And I am not sure that happened back then, I just base it on folks changing down to the half after the full was closed.

For those curious, the marathon is back to $150 + processing fee = $160.25.

I completely agree! I had mixed feelings at first when I saw the drawing but the photo is so much better and makes the medal look so much more appealing!

A double spinny medal! I love it. It's the first spinny medal I will ever receive---even if I have to crawl to get it.

And the (not quite loving it yet, new version of the) RunDisney web site has the 20 hour sale posted--back to the early registration prices.

It's there. Check out RunDisney website. I bit the bullet and am now registered for the 1/2. Since I am a newbie, I will save a full marathon for another day. Something to strive for.

I found part of it on the Disney Parks blog:

They only show one side of the double spinner though. Are people seeing it somewhere else where they show the other side? Hopefully runDisney will post a picture on their Facebook page or blog later.

Speaking of, check out runDisney.com...they overhauled their site (much needed). Looks really nice!
