Run Disney on Facebook just posted like a game or something about the medal

I just saw that. I'm a little annoyed because I don't have a Facebook account (I just check the runDisney page every so often) and the first step in the game is to "Like" the game on Facebook. I guess I'll wait for the medal picture to be posted somewhere else.

Seriously, their games are awful.

Yeah, as I said, the last time there was a big build-up, we got the Tink race. I'm wondering if the new Mickey medal isn't actually going to be a Minnie, instead.

why would you think that? The FB page specifically says it's a Mickey medal.

I'm guessing it's sort of a joke...like last time it was a big build-up to what ended up being a women's-only race. Lots of men were let-down/offended by that. So this time the build-up will be that it's actually a Minnie medal. :confused3 Or something.

Bingo. It's not quite gallows humor, but I'll be honest - having it as a "One-time-only" Minnie medal instead of a Mickey would not shock me too much.

I mean, this is runDisney - the same people who used pics from the Princess marathon to pump up enthusiasm for when registration for the marathon opened up.

I'm excited to see what the new medal looks like but of course with this coming from Run Disney we have quite a wait ahead of us. I tried to figure out the "game" on the Facebook page but it doesn't seem like you can do much other than like things :sad2:

Although I like the idea of a new medal for the 20th(the Donald one rocked last year) I don't care for the elongated drawn out hoopla that Disney pulls. Okay, tease it for a week or two. Get some more registrations because of the big reveal. Don't have me sit through malfunctioning YouTube videos with crazy man to see my bling.

It's the ta ta tamer II. I have it in a 34C and the ta tas were definitely tamed. It fits like a regular bra as opposed to the usual sports bra styles, and it definitely keeps them separate and relieved some of the shoulder/back of the neck pain I've gotten from other bras. Their stuff is pricey, but I've loved everything I've gotten there.

I took it on an 11 mile run on Sunday and I don't know if it was the bra or what, but I knocked those miles out in just over 2 hours and I finished feeling pretty great. Perhaps I've found a lucky bra?!

AWESOME! I will have to go try it out. I agree that they are pricey, but when I wear it all the time it is worth it of it works! I love that they will alter everything for free!

Congrats on the great run! :)

Definitely try it on. If you're a um, bigger girl, this will not be a good bra to run in, as it feels exactly like a regular bra.

I am not at all, (34 B) and hoping that they even make it in that size as I just checked and it was not listed on-line. We have a shop down the street so I hope to pop over when the kids are at art camp tomorrow morning. :goodvibes

We'll be starting the Drink Around the World Challenge at Canada at 1145 on Monday morning, just like the last time. It's a great day of fun. :)

Doh! I think we are leaving mid-day Monday, and I am not going to try and hit all the drinks in the world showcase in an hour or two. ;)

Did anyone else see the runDisney Facebook page post about the half medal?

Pardon me for being dense, but this means that they have come up with a brand new design for the half medal in 2013, right? :confused3 I hope they reveal it soon!

Yes they came up with a new Donald for 2013. 2012 was the special 15th anniversary medal for Donald so it'll have to change. The 2014 Mickey medal will be different too because of the 20th in 2013.

I highly doubt it as I think that would tick A LOT of people off. Besides, they have done a Minnie medal before for the Minnie marathon 15k thing.

By the time you get to the margaritas in Mexico, you won't have anything left!

Well, they would tick off the guys. Not sure if would tick off many of the ladies, however. ;)

I wonder if there will be a new Goofy medal as well.

Okay, I finally get the course diversion through the sports complex. This is WDW's attempt to recreate the experience from the Disneyland Half that runs through Angel's Stadium. I didn't catch that the tight 180s after mile 19 were to actually put you on the warning track of the big diamond. I hope they do the same as they do at Disneyland and have the stand filled with boy scout families cheering you on. That could almost make the diversion and sharp turns worth it. Everyone complained about how in the old course miles 17-22 were so dead. Now they bring you out here and rev you on at mile 19. It might actually be a good strategy. I just hope they get people in the stands.
