**OFFICIAL THREAD**Survivor: Panama

I felt bad for Tina, especially because she was originally cast for Survivor: Guatemala, but had to withdraw because of her son. Her boot wasn't completely unexpected tho, she was the one I predicted would go.

Aww that's so sad. My heart broke for her when she was telling the story on the beach.

I also think that if Tina mentioned her story about her son to her tribemates, her team would have had more sympathy for her.
Exactly::yes:: -That was something she should of shared with them, explain why she was sitting out there on that log!!! This group is History!!!! Loved Jeff's parting comment :rotfl: And Cirir(sp) really does need a full support swimsuit-scared my kids to death!!! :faint:

And could that Astronaut be any whiter :rotfl2:

Me too. How tragic.

I was so sad to see Tina go. Hasn't she noticed from all the other shows that a lot of the "annoying" and loud older women end up getting the boot right away??? :confused3

It was a pretty stupid move. I see this team of three being among the first to go in whatever team they're incorporated into.

Boy are you people reading my thoughts about the black lady needing a bra and dan being so white. I dont see the problem with tina being alone for a bit - I know I couldnt stand being around people 24/7 - I would need a little alone time. Even if she wasnt mourning her son, maybe she was just enjoying the look of the ocean/sun. And as far as the black woman why did she even apply if she doesnt like the outdoors.

I hope Cerie gets a bra ASAP! That was scary :scared: :scared1:

I was scared she might knock herself out with a "punch" ;) to the chin...

Ok, I missed the part about Exile Island. Exactly how does it work? I though it was were the people who were voted off would go. I guess not.

I really liked the way that the older guys did so well in the challenges. They could really show the young ones a thing or two.

And I bet Dan will have a lovely sunburn next week! :sunny:

I hope they give Dan some sunscreen. I would think they would have to or he could sue them someday if he gets skin cancer form a bad burn. Everyone on Survivor usually gets a deep tan but I've never seen a real strong sunburn. I hope they don't just let him fry -- that would be wrong!

Smoking guy -- idiot. You should have quit smoking weeks ago. I have no sympathy for him.

I was bummed to see Tina go. If she had been on a mixed gender tribe I think she would have lasted longer. I think the men would have kept her around. I can't believe the ladies booted her instead of Ceire. I don't know why recent players don't understand that you keep the strong people around until the merge, THEN you vote them off!

The young guys crack me up with their inability to build a shelter. How funny! It is a shame they will be merging back with the other tribes next week. I would have liked to see them try to survive out there with no shelter for a little longer.

I think this season is looking promising. The challenge was better than most of the ones in Guatemala and they have a nice beach to use again, not just that landing-strip looking area they had to use every time last season!

I so agree. I think those women have now dramatically cut their chances of going very far in this game. It was a very stupid move. And, why in the world would you keep anyone around who actually told you they were afraid of leaves?

We have met Tina and she is a great lady! We have a summer home in SWH, ME right near Trenton where her Great Lumbarjack show is - if you are ever in town, go see it - it's alot of fun. AFter the show everyone hangs out and you talk with them, etc. Her son Charlie was the nicest boy - so polite and personable. We were all shocked this summer to hear he was killed in a car accident. At the 4th of July parade in town they had a big float with "we miss you charlie" all over it. Very sad.

I think that if Tina was on a different team, she wouldn't have been voted off. Those women were so stupid to vote off such a strong competitor. I hope those three women get voted off quick. Cieri has got to go - afraid of leaves???? As Tina said - didn't she know what game she was playing? I was soooo rooting for her to go all the way to the end!!

I like the older men. They seem to be working well together (at least the three of them are) and did well in the challenge. The younger men seem like a MESS. Nice shelter huh? They did pick up the slack at the end of the challenge and beat out Tina's group. Was hoping that they lost so the women wouldn't have to go to Tribal.

Out of the 3 left I give only 1 a chance of going anywhere, They should have kept Tina even if they didn't like her she has the survival instincts to help them and they could learn from her. Although I don't think the black woman will ever learn, why would someone afraid of leaves, never has slept outdoors even apply for such a show, not only that but she is showing way way to much!!! I didn't care for the 4 team thing at all, lets face it older folks have a little harder time with alot of the challenges. No standouts yet but I am sure the Asian guy on the older mens team will be another one gone soon.

What about the guy that said he smokes 3 packs a day. Why wouldn't you quit BEFORE the show started? :lmao: He's going to be going through some serious withdrawl symptoms, wonder if he'll just give up instead?
I thought that too.
You'd at least have thought he would have wanted to cut down a bit before applying for the show. It's not like someone ambushed him and carted him off to the island without any warning.

I can't believe anyone would tell the other players they were afraid of leaves, much less that that person would still be around at the end of the first vote. And to sit there at Tribal Council and say "Yeah she got the fire started and she found the water and she got the fish, but any of us could have done those things" when you have said you are afraid of leaves is kind of silly.

PixieDust32 said:
BS!!! I cannot believe it.

They are in trouble now, they lost the one the found the water and started the fire, and kept the couch potato.

Don't forget - found a fish! Loved it when the women asked how she got it and she said with her her bare hands. Loved it even more when she didn't offer up the info that she found it on the rocks LOL!

If I got it right -
the team that loses the reward challenge has to choose one of their members to go to Exile Island. That person will stay alone on Exile Island until the immunity challenge. There is no food (other than what is growing on the island, no fire (unless you can figure out how to make one) and without fire, you can't drink the water.
There is an extra immunity idol hidden on Exile Island, so even though it is hard to be there, the chance to search for the idol is a huge advantage. Whoever has to stay on the island gets one hint from Jeff and if the idol is found, another will be hidden on the island.
If you find the idol, you can choose to use it, trade it, give it away or hang onto it. It can't be used anymore after the point of the final 4. It can be used after the voting (before, the immunity idol could just be used before), so you can truely use it to save yourself. If the person using it had the most votes, the person with the next highest number of votes is out. Which could stir things up a lot.

Looks like many of us were sitting there last night, having the exact same conversations.....why didn't smoking guy stop before the contest started, why didn't Cirie buy something more supportive, why didn't Tina keep her mouth shut at TC, are the boys just pretty boys.....?
I have one question though...if you were going to take part in a Survivor show, as a woman past the age of 'thong bikini wearing build', wouldn't you try to wear something that was a bit more concealing? Don't these women watch the previous shows and see all that 'flesh' hanging out, getting in the way? I mean, how the heck can you concentrate on doing a physical challenge while worrying about your body parts hanging out for the entire world to see!!?? Not to mention the possibility of bad sunburns. I would have gotten something that comes much further up in front, with a bit less behind hanging out. My word....we had Cirie hanging out of her top last night and one of the guys had his behind 'blurred out' at one point.

It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out next week.
