Three Things...Gratitude Thread

The cat coming out from wherever he's been sleeping to say good morning and butter me up to ask for breakfast.
I love how they can be so cute and so irritating all at the same time - if I'm not up and awake by a certain time, mine wake me up and it drives me crazy, no matter how cute they are😂

Evening all,

1. Jigsaws - another vote for these as I've loved doing them since I was a child, and they're a great way to pass the time.

2. Escape rooms - my friends and I absolutely love doing escape rooms as they're basically just a room full of puzzles with lots of different parts and clues, and over the years we've done so many!

3. Lego - another of my favourite things since childhood. Love all the different pieces that fit together and just the general fun of building things. Keep saying if I ever win the lottery I'll have an entire room dedicated to Lego, as there's so many incredible sets out there.

Parts and pieces:

Jigsaw puzzles. I love doing these. Unfortunately, since my cataract surgery, I can no longer see the patterns on the pieces. I'm deeply disappointed, but trying to hold the faith that my vision will finally improve. It's been 7 weeks, though. Hard to be optimistic sometimes.

Sewing patterns. I made all my own clothes starting in about 6th grade, including prom gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and bridal gowns. I found it so peaceful to lay out the pattern pieces on the fabric and turn these random pieces of tissue into something beautiful.

I know... it's only 2. I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

Make Up - base / eyeshadow/ blush / powder / concealer - Liners mascara I could go on and on

Baking supplies for cooking sweets - pans all different kinds / bowls / rubber scrappers / mixers / cups for wet and dry measuring / measuring spoons and that’s before you start decorating so much stuff

Decorating pick a holiday so much stuff - Halloween Christmas Easter just pick a holiday so much stuff lots of pieces and parts

1. Puzzles in my kindergarten. Instead of worksheets, I have a play-based classroom where students learn hands-on. The benefits of puzzles include:

2. Arts and Crafts materials

3. Recipes with multiple ingredients and steps that lead to something yummy and healthy.
As a former teacher and the grandma of a first grader, I can say that I love everything you post about your classroom!! TG there are teachers like you. When my DGD was in pre-school she had a teacher who had them doing worksheets and it drove me crazy!
